Windshield failure-while driving in 18 degree weather, windshield cracked 18 inches along base, approximately 3 inches from seal running from center of windshield to driver's side, left of steering column. Windshield was free of snow or ice, and no wipers running, had been driving for 10 minutes, defrost setting on medium. Crossroads Ford of cary service blames "chip" in windshield, invisible to owner. Unwilling to repair defect under warranty. Owner might accept this explanation if "chip" could be seen by naked eye.
Hi nhsta simple complaint: I have view blocked from reflection (glare) from dash board. Checked other Ford f 150 and each has same. Need windshield that does not do this. My Ford 2007 f150 windshield has this glare problem. If it can be corrected I intend to get this done. At this time I consider it a un safe condition. Your expertise on this would be appreciated. My contact person there is champion ray musgrove, 713-3714010; mustgrover@autonation. Com has windshield labeled: carlite: solar tint: laminated as1: sa d: dwd 0529 gty. Glare, or mirroring on inside windshield revealing image of entire dash board. My dashboard dark in color, but it joint prominent. Dash has square box in center line. Any object placed there distorts, or block my view to especially right. It is unsafe condition. Observation: the small Ford pick up does not have this condition. Only slight near front lower part of glass reflecting venting outlets. Slope is not as steep as f 150. I owner f 150 2000 that did not have this glare. The 2007 slope appears to be greater than 2000 models. Right rear view outside mirror does not have carlite identification. However, this right mirror not same as left. View in right mirror distorts view so cars on right and rear way off in distance when the cars are actually about rear of vehicle. I want same glass in right rearview mirror as in left rearview mirror. This is unsafe matter to me that requires me to obtain new glass for that right distorted view mirror.
