1 Structure problem

2007 Ford F-150. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle passenger assist handle broke off. The consumer stated his wife fell while attempting to enter the front passenger side of the vehicle. She was using the passenger assist handle located at the post between the door and the windshield. She had one foot on the running board and had just started using the assist handle to enter the vehicle when the assist handle broke off and sent her back from the vehicle. Fortunately, she still had one foot on the ground and was able to catch herself and was not hurt. The part was replaced at a cost of $ 213. 86.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2009

The brake pedal and gas pedal are too close and the brake pedal isn't raised above the gas pedal, they are lateral and too close making for dangerous stopping and accelerating issues.

3 Structure problem

Failure Date: 03/18/2009

Urethane adhesive separation / paint separation from windshield frame. Windshield replacement after crack. When the windshield came out the paint came with the urethane adhesive as a solid coating on the adhesive. Windshield was not attached to the auto body frame.

4 Structure problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. While driving 10 mph, the vehicle accelerated to approximately 15 mph without warning when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact felt that the failure was caused by unintentionally depressing the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously. He also felt that the manufacturer designed the brake pedal too close to the accelerator pedal and that the accelerator pedal was mounted too high. The failure occurred on two other occasions. The dealer stated that the shoes he wore caused the failures. As of November 21, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 500 and current mileage was 1,700. *updated 12/12/2007 the consumer stated experienced an unintended acceleration for the 4th time. Updated 12/12/07.
