Tl the contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the engine failed to function properly and that the vehicle stalled several times without warning. The spark plugs an injectors were replaced, and an oil pressure test was provided. The contact also stated that the engine misfired and was diagnosed by mclarty Ford (3232 summerhill rd, texarkana, TX 75503, (903) 792-7121). The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine and transmission needed to be replaced. The mechanic rebuilt the transmission and the starter was replaced. The manufacturer had not issued a recall, but issued eight tsbs for the engine. The contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the engine compartment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no solution other than having the vehicle repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 87,402.
