The transmission cooler line is prompt to break from the metal and plastic connection from 09 to 14 all model engines. Is caused of the friction of the vehicle, corrosion and weather specificallyis your vehicle is from the north. Causing for the fluid to leak, empty the fluid from the transmission and burning it. . . . Took the vehicle and talk to various mechanic and the dealership and was told is a common problem in those model and year trucks. . . . There's no recall on them. . . . . The lines from my vehicle are starting to show fluid leak. . . .
I have not had an incident.
The compass indicator is stuck on north. The radio display module works with its other features. This problem has been confirmed by a dealer (Ford), but the issue is not resolved.
I recently bought this truck 12/31/21. On 1/14/22 I was stopped in a parking lot at a stop sign , I was at the sign no one was ahead of me , with my right foot on the brake waiting the truck began accelerating to the point the rear tires broke traction and the truck rear end started moving to the side , with my foot still on the brake pushing harder ( the pedal felt like the abs system was pushing against my foot ) I immediately turned the ignition to the off position . After a few seconds I started the truck it idled ok so I proceeded as normal . My drive home was around 25 miles with no more issues . I have only talked to a few people and googled what may have happed but all I’ve seen is unless it can be duplicated or some kind of code shows up this will be hard to diagnose , also I was told it may be worth my while to contact this organization NHTSA . Thank you .
Reverse gear band broke in transmission.
Truck was parked, went out started truck and turned rear defroster on. Heard a loud pop like a gunshot and saw back window was shattered.
Back right rear window of the 3 piece window shattered from using the defrost.
Rear back up stops working in the middle of the back up process.
Transmission was replace rain was be place the truck is still stalling slip in and year.
My two kids and I were placing an order at a drive through, when we heard what sounded like a gunshot in my truck. I looked over my daughter's head and see my back driver's side window had exploded. I had the defrost on for about 5 minutes. It was snowing, so I didn't get a good look at it till today. It looks like the window is ready to fall in. No signs of anything hitting the window from either side. I have read over 100 different complaints online of this happening to other Ford owners.
I found the recall number from Ford is 11s15 online. The dealership says that it does not apply to my 2010 Ford f150. However, the same dealership is indicating that all four of the interior door handles are failing and need to be replaced. If one failed I might believe wear and tear, but all four would indicate a defect as described in the recall referenced above.
Traded in my 2010 Ford F-150 at dpm inc in albuquerque no. They have not paid off the loan. I am getting collection calls from the finance company asking why I have nonot made a payment on the vehicle. At this point I do not know where my truck is.
I purchased this vehicle Jan 2017. It has stalled/shut down at least 6 times when approaching a red light, slowing for turning vehicles and also shut down in a stationary position. Today makes the 4th time it has been in the shop for repairs. It has been brought to the place I purchased it, a Ford dealership and now a local dealership. No one can figure out what is causing this issue. This vehicle puts the safety of myself, my children and any passengers at high risk due to the fact it usually does this on major highways. I need this resolved.
I was parked at a food store when I presses the rear defrost to clear up the fogged up window. While talking to my wife we hear a loud bang noise. I walked around my vehicle and noticed the rear drivers panel window shattered. This is the second time this has happened. Three years ago while driving on the highway I turned on the rear defrost and the passenger rear window panel shatttered. I notified Ford motor company and they refuse to help with issue.
Driving for about 5 minutes when I turned on defroster because windows were fogging. Approximately one minute later I heard a loud pop and noted that my rear window shattered. I was idling at a stop in a parking lot when the window shattered.
On numerous occasion, regardless of environmental conditions or other variables, my 2010 f150 will stall out resulting in loss of control of my vehicle. I lose power steering, the brakes lock up and I am unable to accelerate to move my truck out of harms way on the road. This happens during times when the truck is moving as well as stationary. It can happen during turning, slowing down, accelerating, in fact it is hard to pin point a consistent pattern of when it occurs. I was nearly involved in several accidents due to this issue and find it very disturbing that this issue has occurred on many other Ford trucks and yet no action has been taken. The issue continues to happen even after numerous trips to the shop and a lot of money spent to have it fixed.
Turned on my rear defroster as I was driving down the road. About two miles down the road the back split window blows out on the passenger side. Googled the problem and found out that this is a common issue with the 2010and2011 f150. This is a lot of money to replace on someone's dime the manufacturer should take care of the problem.
Like hundreds of others, driving and put rear defroster on and a minute later heard a gunshot like noise and my back rear right winidow exploded. Dogs in the backseat, was not pretty and scared the heck out of me while driving. Isn't there a recall on this yet?.
Passenger side panel of powered rear window shattered with a loud bang. This was in an oem part replaced for the same reason in 2014. I did not have the defrost on . I made a 4 mile round trip and as I pulled in the driveway and turned off the key it went.
On the crew cab the back passenger door will not open from either inside or outside of the truck very unsafe if you have passengers in the back seat.
I have noticed of f150 forums that from 09 to 2013 on the crew cab the passenger rear door will not open from the inside or the truck or the outside of the truck with I would think is a big safety concern.
The instrument cluster fails at start up not come on no speedometer or anything on the instrument cluster as well as sometimes it wont start.
The vehicle will break on its own, without any warning. This has occurred several times over the past few years. It usually occurs when traveling at lower speeds. 40 mph and lower. I have not had any incidents on the freeway, just on the highway and mountain roads. No codes come up. The stability control light may come on but it goes away.
Truck was stationary at a red light when there was an explosion. The back passenger window shattered. There was no indication of a rock hit. No other cars were around me to throw up a stone. I had the rear defrost on when it happened.
Drive shaft problem plus after running a few hours no runs.
Passenger side blend door motor and havc module. I was by a Ford rep. The mentioned parts have chronic failures which lead to costly repairs. This was verified by a two week back order for the havc module.
Driving on highway (clear roads)100 km/hr and all of a sudden a bang and lost power. Almost killed. Towed to dealer. . ($100). Rear differential blew up, broke driveshaft and transfer case split in half. How is this not on the recall, as this is a serious safety issue and obviously a defect. Paid $5751. 73 to fix. Female driver, only paved road driving, how does this happen???.
When applying sync update caused several failure codes to transmission module and transmission servo. Sync module no longer works after applying software update and must be replaced. All transmission and engine codes were cleared. I believe the sync module update caused failure codes and destroyed sync module. Ford dealership cannot explain.
While using the rear window defroster, I heard a loud thud. I looked back and saw a shattered rear passenger window. Also noticed smoke from lower corner. I was reversing out of driveway at a slow rate of speed. Outside temp was 20°f.
Strong exhaust fumes in cab since fall 2016 dealer unable and/or unwilling to deal with it. I was told to have a window open and air circulation active. However the a/c is affected now also. I am not comfortable driving this vehicle since it gives me a headache in a short time.
I was pulling onto an undivided two lane hwy. And was accelerating up to speed. The vehicle, without any type of warning, applied the brakes by itself causing it to veer hard left and pulling the truck into the oncoming traffic lane. The indicator light for traction control flashed on and off in the instrument panel and you could hear the abs deploying. Lucky there was no one behind me or coming towards me. Very dangerous situation and quite frightening for my family. We live in a rural community and the dealership is over 50 miles away in one direction. Concerned about safely being able to get it in for diagnostics.
F150 lariat 2010 driving 35 mph on smooth road and from back seat hear like a gun shot,,,rear right window explodes for no reason. 60 degree temp outside, smooth pavement. . . The window shattering on its own was a surprise. Seems to be common problem on Ford f150.
My vehicle stop without warning. Had a 800. 00 dollar tune-up. It has stopped several times since tune-up . I took it to two dealers they said they could not find any codes indicating their was a problem. It cuts off as I come to a stop or when I slow down to make a turn at slow speeds on city streets.
2010 f150 died twice while driving in lower speed on interstate and in parking lot. Speed was less than 15 miles per hour (interstate speed was reduced due to construction). It also died when parked in idle. The only "check engine light" that appeared was the oil light. The vehicle was inspected at a Ford dealer but they were unable to find the history of the issues using the diagnostic tools nor were they able to recreate the issue. When vehicle died while in motion it was in drive. When it died I lost the capability to turn the steering wheel or use brakes. In all situations the vehicle restarted and functioned as normal.
As I was approaching a school zone I was slowing down to stop for a crossing guard ,slightly slippery, with my foot applied to brake the rear wheel started spinning out of control, the tac pegged , the tracshion control light flashed repeatedly, I emeditly jammed the transmission into park, and shut off the truck. Restarted it and it was then ok, has not happened since. Went to Ford dealer they checked the computer and found no error codes, this is got the potential to cause major injuries. My wife now refuses to drive my truck. Do no what to do,need help in this matter!.
