Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that his check engine light illuminated on his instrumental panel the vehicle stalled shortly after the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer was able to determine that the interior lining of the fuel tank had shed into his gasoline tank causing it to seep inside and damage the engine. The dealer stated that both fuel tanks would have to be replaced and the engine would need to be clean. Two years later, after the contact's vehicle was out of warranty, the failure reoccured. The dealer confirmed the vehicle would require the same revision as before, however, it would be preformed at the contact's expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of failure. The failure mileage was 18,000. Az.
