Air Brake problem #1

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his employee was driving, the brakes became inoperable. The low brake fluid message was displayed. The contact stated that the brake fluid reservoir was 95 percent empty; and additional fluid was added to the reservoir. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that brake fluid had entered into the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 106,173.

Air Brake Wheel Speed Sensor problem #2

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact had stated that while the driver was driving at 80 mph when the vehicle suddenly shifted into first gear reducing the speed to approximately 20 mph. This caused another passenger to slam into the dashboard hitting their head. No medical attention was needed. The driver was able to come to the side of the road where they were able to have the vehicle home. They had a certified mechanic come and inspect the vehicle and diagnoised that the input output sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred them to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.
