This has happened twice now. Driving to work accelerating after a red light and the truck losses all power, but stays running. To get it to operate normal you have to pull over shift into park, turn the truck off and wait a couple of moments. The truck will retire and drive like nothing happened. Trick has 78k miles and always maintained at local Ford dealer.

While driving my truck several times now it shuts off in the middle of driving it without any warning. Many lights come on oil, wrench, check 4x4, limp mode, says remove item on passenger seat. Nothing on seat. Sometimes the truck starts back up other times it does not for approximately 15 minutes. Was almost rear ended by another vehicle one time. I have complained to Ford motor company and unfortunately got no where with my complaint. I have read many complaints on the internet about the same problem and seems like it is only a Ford truck problem. Widespread in the years I have seen complaints from 2006-2020 with the same problem. Something needs to be done before someone is hurt or even killed.
Rear camera for backing is reversed. In the camera’s view on my frontal screen the left side of the vehicular is on the right side. Safety issues when backing up due to display being reversed especially at night. Electrical system on dash computer and headlights and dash lights turn off and on periodically. They blink off and on for a few seconds. Also affects rear camera sometimes but turning off camera and computer screen said to contact the dealer for camera issues. Also have check engine light coming on. Hand held computer and car shop both state “ low voltage, oxygen sensor, bank one, sensor one. Three times check engine light on in past 2 weeks after shop stated it was fixed. Electrical short in dash and computer screen could be shorting out sensors.
Vehicle got stuck in the snow. Tried getting vehicle out and almost had it free when I noticed the temperature gauge rising. I then shut the vehicle down and was calling for help for 10 minutes then noticed a flame come out of the engine bay. Yelled for my family to get out. Me and my wife rushed to get our kids out of the vehicle and down the road. The cab and engine bay are gone. I don’t know what caused the fire but it needs to be figured out my family was endangered.
Vehicle had 65,732 when the timing chain and both turbo chargers seized costing $8,770. 46. Complaining because we feel Ford is at fault for this failure. Engine has hardly any miles. Other Ford vehicles with many more miles had this recall but Ford says mine was not covered. Then under 2,000 miles later the power steering went costing $3,130. 96 which was also another recall on other Ford vehicles same model, same year but Ford says not mine.
Brake booster leaking. Eco booster leaking oil on manifold.
My 2014 F-150 stx 3. 7l flex and ecoboost truck has 17,000 miles on it and the pcm has failed according to the dealership. I had my truck smogged for the 1st time on Dec. 19th, 2022, along with having the oil and it's filter changed, the engine filter changed, and a new battery installed which was recommended by the dealership. I then drove my vehicle 179 miles until Jan. 1st, 2023, until it wouldn't start. It would only click, click, with no cranking noise when I tried starting it. The battery was strong, with no dimming of the lights, and the remote for opening the doors worked fine. There was no error code or check engine light revealed on the dash. I had it towed to the dealership on a Thursday and didn't receive a diagnosis until the following Tuesday. Why did it take so long for a diagnosis? what if this failure happened while I was driving, as this is the brain of the vehicle which makes everything run? pcms should last at least 75,000 miles and this would be considered an early failure. Is this failure something that the dealership could have created? I was given an estimate of $1592. 00 to replace the pcm by the dealership. I have been informed by them that this part is on back order. My truck has been sitting at the dealership for almost a month now waiting on this back order part. Why are there so many of these pcms needed around the country? why are they failing? thank you for your assistance. Donna marie gorsche.
The truck alames into 1st gear while driving sticks in 3rd gear as well as 5th gear no miles are being registered speedometer not working, not registering accurate speed or mileage engine and transmission stop communicating.
Approx. Speed of 50 mph vehicle suddenly dropped into 1st gear resulting in rapid deceleration. Both speedometer and tach were fluctuating and had no direct correlation with actual vehicle motion. Defect was momentary and truck resumed to normal shifting pattern and normal speedometer/tach function.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his father was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made knocking sounds and then lost motive power. My transmission had been acting funny earlier in the day. Like not changing gears correctly. Later in the day, driving home from work, it started bucking and and the instrument cluster started going crazy. It started accelerating and I had to hit the brakes. It never threw any codes. A couple days later driving I had no power, and instrument cluster went crazy again. I seen a wrench and finally threw a code. I keep a code reader in my truck, it threw po720. It started driving fine after I turned it off and back on. I went home and read about the Ford f150 lead frame recall and my truck was made at the same plant. However Ford says, I am not covered. I do not understand how they can cover trucks a couple months before mine.
I was travelling down the highway at near 60 mph and without warning the truck shuttered and shifted to first gear. This nearly started and chain reaction crash with myself and 3 other vehicles as I was nearly rear ended, I also could've easily lost control. Had I been towing my travel trailer at the time this would have caused a major accident without question. 2 codes were thrown at this time p0720 and p0722, this comes back to a lead frame issue with the transmission. I took the truck to my local dealer and they stated they couldn't get the issue to happen again and that there was nothing wrong as they could tell because the codes do not store. The only symptom prior to was all the went blank just before the truck shuttered and went to first gear.
Hello - my 2014 f150 experiencing this issue, but Ford says my VIN is not on the recall list. Truck pulled brake fluid into the engine from faulty brake booster / master, lost all brakes, lots of smoke, brake fluid reservoir empty. Brake master cylinder may leak into booster NHTSA campaign number: 20v332 a loss of brake fluid may result in a change in brake pedal travel and feel, increased pedal effort and reduced front brake function, possibly requiring greater effort and distance to stop the vehicle. These conditions can increase the risk of a crash.

Engine underpowered/turbo under boost: had this issue numerous times with the original engine (which failed at just over 85k miles). I've put less than 5k on the current replacement engine and it's happening again. This is especially concerning when merging into interstate traffic. Second issue: backup camera starting malfunctioning intermittently shortly after purchasing. It displays an error message 90% of the time. When it does display the image is backwards.

The studs for the exhaust manifolds rusted away and the exhaust is now leaking into the passenger compartment and bypassing all emissions systems. This is a common problem with Ford f150s. Ford has since changed the alloy used in the studs to prevent this from happening.

Submitting another complaint about this issue. 2014 F-150 supercrew 3. 5l tt with 6 speed transmission. Was driving with my whole family in the car yesterday, 03/06/22. Truck started hesitating again, rpms went crazy, mph gauge freaked out. I shifted into neutral before the truck would go into a skid like it did the other day. Put the truck back into drive and it was fine. Turned around and took our other vehicle. This thing is a death trap. Recall the 2014 model year now. I've found several others online with 2014 model year with the same issue.
I was driving today, around 60 mph, with my parents in the truck. All of a sudden my truck slammed into a lower gear, skidded the tires, and everyone was thrown forward in the vehicle. I almost lost control. I know there is a recall for the 2011-2013 Ford F-150 for this, but not the 2014 model year (mine). This is the second time it's happened where it's skidded the tires, and it's happened at least half a dozen other times where it hasn't skidded. This will cause an accident in time and this is an issue with other 2014s that I've read about online. Today I was lucky there was nobody behind me or it would have caused a rear-end collision. This needs resolved now. I have a wife and three kids that also ride in this vehicle, it's our main family vehicle.

I bought this truck 2 and a half years ago and from day one it has been nothing but trouble. I was sold a lemon I have spend god knows how much on this truck and now it sits in the yard with a cracked turbo, electrical issues and transmission problems that I've been told has been a problem along time and I'd have to agree. Within the first 3 months of owning the truck it was in the shop 3 or 4 times. I had all kinds of warranty's added to my loan that I wasn't aware of and I've tried having the issue handled but Ford dealership will not tdo anything about it. I still over over 20,000 dollars on this truck I don't know if you can help but if you can I'd greatly appreciate it. I've had numerous sensors replaced, cv joints replaced, a arms replaced, wheel bearings, catalytic converters, ball joints, brake calipers, brake lines, struts, purge valve, engine mount, fuel pump twice, and I'm sure there's more alot of this was in the first not even year.
