The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after her husband activated the defroster, it caused the rear windshield to shatter. The local dealer and several other dealers were made aware of the failure. All the dealers informed the contact to take the vehicle to an auto-glass dealer to replace the windshield. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
