Regarding: 2015 Ford f150 with 20,000 original miles on it. -made 1st report with NHTSA. Gov as well as Ford. Com back in June 2023 about the vehicle throwing codes for anti-lock brake system and communication loss of ecm/pcm. As well as, the system not allowing the brand new battery to ever be fully charged. -upon 1st reporting these issues, the vehicle was placed into the "friendly Ford" service center in crosby, TX to be worked on and issues fixed. $1,376, later, we were contacted by the service center to pick the vehicle up, saying issues were now fixed. (their prognosis: auxillary transmission pump replacement 6/19/2023) after picking vehicle up, all seemed to be running correctly. Until, the vehicle decided to do the exact same thing again. . . No charging the battery, not starting engine, turning itself off, ect. Just got the vehicle out of the same service shop,, this time them claiming that it was now the transmission control module that needed to be replaced. This service trip costed $1490 (july27, 2023). When the service worker went out to bring the truck around for us to leave, he had to attach a battery booster to the battery, just to be able to start the vehicle. . . . Ding< ding< ding!! not fixed. . . . . . Right ?! correct!! it is not!! so, here we are again (07/29/2023) with the code reader at autozone saying "anti-lock brake system/ ecm/pcm (u0151-00 and u0100-00). Battery tested to be in good working order, as well as the entire starting system, itself is in complete working order. And still our problem persists.

3 Automatic Emergency Braking problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2021

I have been driving since 1964 and have never experienced a total loss of all braking power in any . Vehicle in my life until last Sunday. I exited from the church parking lot and pulled out onto the main drive headed home. As I approached a signal light at a "t" intersection traveling across the top of the "t" right to left, the light turned yellow so I applied my brakes to slow down, only to find that the brake pedal traveled all the way to the floor without any hesitation and the car continued on its path without slowing at all. I immediately released my foot and permitted the pedal to rise to its normal position and I pressed on it again, only to get the exact same result. I immediately down shifted to first gear and pushed down on the emergency brake pedal which slowed the car to a stop before I entered the intersection. I shifted into park and tried pressing on the brake pedal to "pump up the braking system" and got some relief, however as soon as the light change and I put the car back in drive, all resistance from the brake pedal system quit and I was back in free fall. I managed to get home using manual shifting and emergency brake assistance. The braking system never returned to any form of even trying to control the forward momentum of the vehicle. I checked the internet to find that there were pages of people entering reports of similar issues with their f150's and yet there was no report of any recall or safety issues reported. Now I may be wrong but I thought I was told back in drivers ed back 1965 the the braking system in cars had an x configuration so if something happened to the brake lines that feed the front right to rear left, that the front left and rear right wheels would still be there to get to you stopped. Well I can assure you that when the little 18" rubber hose that connects the metal hydraulic line to the front right disk caliber on my car split open, nothing worked not even a warning light came on until no brake fluid existed.

6 Automatic Emergency Braking problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2016

Several extremely dangerous situations occured within 6 months of purchasing brand new 2015, F-150, 3. 5, 4x4 ecoboost king ranch model. While driving on interstate, in rain, passing an 18 wheeler, without warning forward collision lights go off and truck begins slamming the brakes on by itself and the car behind me had to slam on his brakes to avoid a severe crash. I brought truck to dealership they checked it out and said they wasnt sure why it happened and reset the computer, and put me back on the road. It continued to happen 2 or 3 more times until I realized it was only during rain, and when on side of 53' semi truck trailers. The last time it happened was a very dangerous and unnerving experience. Truck suddenly begins slamming brakes on again going thru a major city on the freeway in heavy traffic. I brought the truck into dealer, and told them I wasnt driving it until they fixed it. The first year of ownership my truck was plauged with issues. It constantly went into limp mode while on the freeway. I was working over 3 states and the truck would go into limp mode if I accelerated to pass. I went to every Ford dealership shop along the interstate for a 300 mile stretch over the next 4 years while working away from home . Most of the problems were while under warranty. Finally they updated software and it stopped. This was a very dangerous problem and the dealerships werent really very helpful. My truck stayed in the dealership shop more than 60 days the first year I owned it. I bought it brand new.
