1 Transmission Slip Out Of Gear problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2021

Transmission will suddenly downshift into first gear or will downshift out of overdrive at freeway speeds. Transmission will sometimes not downshift to first gear at a complete stop, and will not operate properly until engine is shut off and restarted. Problem is similar to previous 6r80 transmission recall. Problem has been reoccurring since 4/23/21.

2 Transmission Slip Out Of Gear problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2019

When first turn the truck on and it's cold, the transmission will slip out of first gear into third and then into fifth. When you stop, the transmission slams back into first gear and jerks until it gets into second gear. Only does when the teuck is cold typically. The truck has been to the dealer four times to get repaired for this issue. I'm told that it's a programming issue each time. After the programming is reset, the transmission will function correctly for a few days and then the issue will start happening again.
