The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the sunroof failed to close as needed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sunroof motor and framework on the sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was referred to the manufacturer by the dealer. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed about technical service bulletin: 18-2374, but no assistance was provided. 2 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2022

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while closing the sunroof he heard an abnormal noise and the sunroof started open and close. The contact was able to close the sunroof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the frame holding the sunroof was fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. 3 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 06/17/2022

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that water was dripping from the grab handles and dome lamps were filled with water. While driving at unknown speed, the vehicle stalled. All the warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed there was a water leak and fried the computer system. The mechanic informed him the drain tubes were not hooked up. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, who determined the drain tube was clogged. While driving in the rain, the headliner was stained and getting wet. The vehicle was taken to a body shop, who determined that water was leaking into the vehicle between the sunroof and panel. The manufacturer was contacted, who referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
