Mftr recall 28s75 NHTSA recall 25v 455 this is a safety risk recall issued over 7 months ago and Ford still does not have a remedy to fix the problem. So far my f150 has not experienced the problem, but do I just keep driving and one day the vehicle stops running, maybe while I'm traveling on an interstate at 70 mph. I think it's time to pressure Ford for a fix before someone has a tragic accident. Thanks.
When driving the gas pedal will go dead or not work at all. I will be driving along then try to push the gas at a left hand turn and nothing will happen. I push the pedal to the floor many times and after a period of time it starts to work again. The issue never puts out a code or check engine light. This is a safety issue for not only me and my family but others on the road as well. If the gas pedal was to fully stop working the truck would be stuck and could cause an accident. The dealer told me they could not reproduce the concern, but they did suggest to replace a temp sensor and reprogram pcm which I paid for, the cost was $870. 90.
On 12/17/25, the low-pressure fuel pump failed on my 2022 Ford F-150 (VIN 1ftfw1e85nfa72099), exactly as described in safety recall 25s75. The vehicle will not start or run and is not drivable due to the failed fuel pump. I have been told there is no remedy currently available and Ford has declined alternate transportation assistance.
The electric motors in the hybrid system intermittently fault and fail completely. I get an error saying there's a powertrain/4wd system failure. There's no clear cause. I've had this in for service numerous times. I've paid for a repair that did not resolve it. They had me pay for a repair for a new alternator-generator unit ($1500). When I get this fault, the truck operates only on gas power and does not use any electric motor power. I go from ~21 mpg highway (which is lower than when new) to ~18 mph highway.
Hv harness failed (confirmed by dealer/manufacturer) without known reason and without warning, leaving stranded, unable to move vehicle.
Our 2022 Ford F-150 lost power while trying to proceed into an intersection. I was turning right, exiting a parking lot onto a main road trying to go north. There was a good amount of time with no traffic so I pushed the gas to proceed with my right turn. When I pushed the gas, the truck responded bringing me out into the intersection however before I could get turned the gas pedal stopped responding so I was stuck straight out on the main road with traffic that was heading north coming straight toward my driver side of my truck. I almost got t-boned by multiple vehicles. Traffic slowed and had to stop to move around my truck while I was attempting to get the truck to respond. The truck responded after about 2 minutes of being stalled. We brought the truck into our local Ford dealership again (had brought it in before for this same issue described below), they kept it for about a week to try to reproduce the issue again however were not successful again. The dealer said that the truck did not throw any codes when the stall happened and there were no warning lights or messages in the vehicle at the moment that it happened to me. They are now telling us that we need to pick up our truck which we truly do not feel safe in. This is a family vehicle and our daily driver that we drive around our 3 year old child in. It not only put my life in danger that day by stalling, but it put all of the others cars headed toward me - almost t-boning me - in danger. I had a previous instance of this same issue where my truck was non-responsive, but was not on a main road so it wasn't as scary. There were also multiple other times where it experienced the same issue, but did not fully lose power (just kind of lagged when the pedal was pushed). We brought my truck into a local Ford dealership for these instances of the issue but they could not reproduce the issue, therefore did not fix it. There was a recall issued for this a couple months back, however currently no fix.
My truck is/has been experiencing engine power issues on occasions when its hot. There are no engine light warnings. I believe issues is the fuel pump and there is a recall about this exact issue. I spoke to dealership and they said they have no remedy. I chatted with a Ford company customer service associate and he would not help either despite this is a major safety issue. We are afraid to drive the vehicle and no one at Ford will help us.
Once the engine is warm at normal running temperature and especially when it’s hot outside, the engine will shudder and almost die. This issue is most noticeable at idle at stop signs or stop lights and the whole truck shakes.

Vehicle stalls out every 3-5 minutes after starting. Vehicle stops and will restart after start up but will only once again run for 3-5 minutes. Vehicle is a hazard on the road as well to the passengers. Local Ford dealership and Ford corp. Both admit there is a recall (25s75) on my 2022 F-150 but are unaware of how to repair the vehicle. I am to wait until Ford develops a solution. Unwilling to provide a loaner vehicle while Ford comes up with a solution. They told me 3-6 months.
Received recall notice for vehicle listed above. Contacted the local Ford dealer and talked to the service writer. They stated as the recall notice outlined that currently Ford does not have remedy for the situation. In the recall notice it outlines one of the issues could be the vehicle to stall particularly in hot weather conditions. . I live on the gulf coast (hot humid conditions) and commute 2x daily across elevated bridges that are notorious for accidents from stalled vehicles on the bridge. This is due to a faulty fuel pump system. My concern is that if I stall out on this bridge the results could be tragic for not only me but for other people using the bridge. To me this situation should be remedied in a "now" timeline to prevent the loss of life and equipment. The service writer agreed with me but didn't have a solution. Why doesn't Ford just install a new fuel pump that doesn't have this particular problem. In my opinion if they can't do that they should replace my current vehicle with a new of the same make and model. My life and that of others in this situation is more important than Ford's bottom line. Recall was in July 2025, no remedy is yet available. This is taking an unreasonable amount of time.

I have two recalls that I cannot get any assistance with recall # 23s65 rear axle bolt breakage and new recall #25s75 which is fuel pump riser. I have acquired services from four different dealerships and have taken photos and mileage to get repairs completed. I hear clicking noise in my truck and afraid of it causing serious damage and injury along with my fuel pump issue and bad gas mileage and noises when initial cranking my vehicle. I would like to know what dealership in southwest louisiana could I bring my vehicle in to resolve these issues that I have been dealing with close to a year. If not, what dealership will provide me courtesy like vehicle rental until completed. I currently of the bubba ostalet Ford 246 n. Broadway st. Jennings, la 70546.
I bought a used Ford F-150 from Toyota used care dealership on [xxx]. On [xxx] while vehicle was being driven on [xxx], north of santa clarita, on the way down to san diego. I was in the backseat, my friend who was the driver notified me. That we had to pull over and check because he was noticing smoke, then we pulled over and the truck was leaking a fluid that was on fire for about 20 minutes. We had exited the vehicle, called 911, the fire then stopped after about 20 minutes. The fire department came and then put out a small fire within the truck. We then had to wait on the side of the rode for 5 hours waiting for a tow truck to pull the truck. I got the truck towed to a Ford service center because the truck still had new vehicle manufacturer warranty with Ford. The truck was given full warranty and Ford covered the damages and fixed the vehicle giving it the green light in there service report. I then waited until March 4th 2025 to receive my truck back. On [xxx], the truck was being driven down southband the [xxx], on the [xxx], again due to smoke and also hearing a loud banging, my friends had to pull over and the truck is going to be towed to the service center which it was first fixed. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
We were told, our truck had a loss of fuel pressure and flow from the fuel tank due to fuel pump failure. This can cause a lack of fuel delivery to the engine and result in an engine stall while driving. That’s what happened to us. Prior to fuel pump failure, we experienced poor engine performance (misfiring or running rough), a check engine light, and a reduction in engine power. The engine stalled while driving on the highway and increased the risk of a crash being stuck on the side of the road up a hill like we were. I was reaching out to see if we are able to get a refund.
There are times that my 2022 Ford f150 powerboost will not accelerate. Mostly if I roll in a turn and press on the gas pedal. I don't hear anything, like it's a auto/stop issue. I'll have to come to a complete stop, or I'll have to leave my foot on the pedal, then it's like it kicks on with high rpm. There's no warning lights or messages. This time while I was on the highway during stop and go traffic.
After driving home from work on 12/20/24 the truck was parked at ~10pm. At ~1am on 12/21/24, I was alerted that the truck was on fire. I found the vehicle fully engulfed in the hood and cab area. There was no prior indication of a problem or issue. The truck was fully destroyed and my home and Jeep were damaged. My home was damaged and only saved because I brought my garden hose out and sprayed the house until the local fd arrived. The local fire investigator and the insurance fire investigator could it definitively identify how/why the truck caught fire and burned up.
At idle, the vehicle will shutter and idle rough, nearly stalling in traffic. I have taken it to the dealership twice to two separate dealerships and it's under factory warranty and they have no repair or fix for the problem.
Loss of acceleration in 2022 Ford F-150 powerboost hybrid I am writing to report a safety issue with my 2022 Ford F-150 powerboost hybrid, which has been experiencing acceleration lag and loss of power during regular driving conditions. Component/system that failed: the powertrain system, specifically related to the integration between the electric motor and gasoline engine, appears to be malfunctioning. This issue primarily affects the vehicle's ability to accelerate after a stop or during turns. Safety risk: the loss of acceleration poses a significant safety risk to both myself and others on the road. The delay in throttle response has caused the truck to remain in a low gear for several seconds, even with the accelerator fully pressed. This issue has occurred while merging onto highways, when moving through intersections, where quick acceleration is necessary to avoid collisions and a simply stop signs taking a turn where I'm not able to accelerate after. The delay increases the likelihood of rear-end collisions and creates dangerous situations, especially in heavy traffic. The problem has been reproduced by a dealer and many other owners have reported the same issue. I'm hoping that Ford has releases powertrain control module (pcm) update aimed at addressing this, but the issue persists for many, including myself after recent pcm updates. The vehicle has been formally inspected by my local Ford dealership. They will be applying a pcm update on 10/10/2024. There were no warning lamps or error messages that appeared before or during the incidents. The problem occurs unexpectedly, usually when I press the accelerator, particularly in eco or normal driving modes. The issue has been less frequent in sport and tow/haul modes, but this results in increased fuel consumption, which negates the advantages of the hybrid system.
Vehicle lost power while driving on highway requiring vehicle to be guided to shoulder. Once on shoulder, truck died and would not restart. After being towed to dealership, the vehicle was found to have a failed fuel pump. At the time of the incident, vehicle had 27671 miles on odometer.
I have received "high voltage battery warnings" on 3 separate occasions (5/5/24, 5/9/24, 7/14/24), each time being told to stop the vehicle as soon as possible. On each occasion, once the vehicle is stopped it is bricked and cannot be driven at all. Fortunately, each of the three times I was able to stop the vehicle in a safe place. However, if others are experiencing the same issue, they may not be able to stop in a safe place. Furthermore, Ford has failed twice to fix the high voltage battery issue, and the vehicle is currently at the dealer trying to resolve the issue for a third time. The fact that Ford does not know how to resolve this repeating issue is a large safety concern for two main reasons. First, as the high voltage battery is the main power unit for the propulsion system of the car, and with Ford clearly unaware of what or how to fix the issue, the car is at risk of stopping at any time or location. Second, the dealership working with Ford to fix the car mentioned that the repairs were taking a long time because Ford indicated that the high voltage from the battery may be discharging into other components of the vehicle, e. G. Frame, door panels, etc. , and so they had to proceed with extreme caution. With Ford failing to resolve the issue at least two time, there may be a risk of very high electric current coming in contact with the driver or passengers in the vehicle. It would be shocking if that were to happen.
During a long road trip my truck displayed a message stating that I had a powertrain malfunction/ reduced power. My truck, while driving, reduced itself to half power. It also would not charge. I was 3 states away from home when this happened. I took the vehicle to my Ford dealership once I was able to get it home. The technician simply cleared a code and said that the issue could not be replicated. Clearly there is an issue. I know several people with the same issue. Frankly, I don't think that I can trust my new truck a significant distance from my residence.
When sitting at a stop light/stop sign/a complete stop, the truck will switch to electric mode. . . After about five to seven seconds, the truck "jumps" -- if feels like you just got rear ended. Truck currently at the dealership with no known eta on repair.
Fuel odor when exiting the truck. Looked under the truck to investigate the gas odor and found a weeping gas line connection between the gas tank and transmission. Took the truck to gary yeoman Ford in ocala, FL and they estimated it would cost $1385 to do the repair, however, they did not give us a copy of the estimate. Called them back today, 11/29 to set up an appointment for the repair and they will call us back to drop off the truck as it may take a couple of days to get the part.
Fuel door seating pin fell out. With the fuel door closed getting notices that the fuel door is ajar and the check engine light is on.
While driving on the interstate my 2022 f150 lightning platinum lost all power to the front motor. The "comfort" mode display showed no warnings, messages, or signals to indicate that power was severely limited. I realized the issue as the vehicle was losing speed as I was going up a grade where the vehicle would hardly maintain 75mph with my foot to the floor. I have pictures from the incident which I have uploaded. (the screenshots are from the typical display, and with the specific vehicle power menu enabled. I did not capture a picture of the "comfort" display during the incident. I have uploaded an image of the comfort display I had previously taken. ).
After over the air update, received a do not drive message with high voltage message and powertain failure, truck brought to dealer, were it spent 6 weeks to get repaired. As the dealer had to wait for the part even though the dealer working on the vehicle was told by Ford to order parts related to the high voltage battery back in February. In which the dealer never did.
On June 26, 2023 I received a message from Ford motor company that they had detected a battery module "not performing as expected" in my 2022 F-150 lightning bev truck. A contact at the Ford battery electric vehicle team stated the defective battery module would be replaced under Ford customer service program 23h01. The contact stated that a replacement battery module had been ordered, and an appointment was set up at the local dealership for 7/31/2023. As of 8/22/2023 no work has been done to repair my truck. There are numerous postings on the F-150 lightning forum involving powertrain failures and loss of power while driving, high voltage battery warnings, and notices from Ford of defective battery modules. Loss of power while driving is obviously a very serious safety issue. It appears the scope of battery issues with Ford F-150 lightning bev trucks is very significant.
Vehicle lurches forward when at a stop while in electric mode. When releasing the brake, the vehicle lurches forward into a “bang”. Occurring at every stop while in electric mode. Cel for fault with auxiliary transmission oil pump.
The computer/s that control every piece of equipment does not function as designed! the cruise control adjusted the speed (upward) without touching the controls. The lane keeping function will drag the truck into a turnout lane, left or right especially on a two lane highway with turn out lanes. The windshield wiper control has to be constantly manipulated to keep the windshield clean during snow and or rain storms. The instrument panel constantly changes which distracts the driver as so does the computer screen. The pre collision equipment works only sometimes. All the computers installed affect the function of other computers which causes driver distraction, like txt and driving.
I was driving about 50 mph traveling from bethel, nc to canton, nc and was approaching canton so I was slowing down. The first traffic light was red so I stopped behind another car. When the light turned green I lightly pressed the accelerator and nothing happened, it was like the engine failed to power up. I looked at the instruments and noticed the transmission was stuck in 8th-gear. Suddenly it rolled down to 1st gear and the vehicle literally leaped across the intersection. Fortunately the car in front had moved out normally or the "leap" would have climbed his back. I have read of other Ford trucks with this 10-speed transmission sticking in 8th-gear when stopping. The hesitation starting into the intersection is dangerous and the sudden leap forward is very dangerous.
