The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 mph, the message "failure trailer brake module" was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the turn signal was flashing constantly. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the trailer brake module was unresponsive. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.
