1 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2024

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, the passenger’s side seat was wet. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the entire front passenger’s side headliner was damp due to moisture. In addition, the contact stated that while observing the vehicle going through a car wash, water was pouring into the vehicle through the panoramic sunroof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and it was confirmed that the panoramic sunroof was leaking; however, the dealer was unable to repair the vehicle. The contact was referred to the manufacturer and a case was filed. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA hotline for additional assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

2 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2023

As I was driving down the road, my sun roof seems to have spontaneously exploded. I am unaware of anything specific hitting the car.

3 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2022

Driving on highway. Heard a single loud gunshot-like sound as sunroof forward pane just shattered inward raining small pieces inside. No vehicles ahead. No overpasses. No scratches nor damage to body. Damage limited only to sunroof pane and light scratches on tonneau cover from shards in fan pattern rearwards. No bullet holes. No foreign object in truck nor road. No damage to rear roof pane over cab. Truck running perfectly. Glass shard concentration on middle console and middle of cab floor.
