1 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2026

After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. Had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit.

2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2026

The moonroof on our F-150 exploded going down the interstate. Nothing was hit and it sounded like a gunshot. The headliner remains intact with no damage and glass blew out at an upward angle. We submitted to Ford for a warranty claim but they denied it. Based on my research this is a known problem from Ford and they are not addressing it.

3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/04/2026

I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck. I called stanley Ford where I bought the truck to get the recall fixed. They told me they had the part and would get it out the next day (Friday) because I was leaving that Sunday on a work trip. They called me on Friday and said the part they had was for another vehicle and it would be 3-4 mths before they would have the part and I couldn't drive the truck. The software was not updating (even with a battery change) and I asked them to reset since we changed the battery. They told me it would $400 plus to fix that. They have not offered a vehicle for me to drive and neither has Ford. Ford was called and everything was explained to them. I am without a vehicle, with no real estimated time on when I will get my truck back and nothing has been done. No loaner, no paying for my truck since I do not have it. I have been without a vehicle for a month and 1/2. I work a full time job. I have a statement from repair shop and pic, but it won't let me upload.

4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2026

On 3 separate occasions, while traveling at highway speeds on the NJ garden state parkway in the left lane, my truck’s service engine light soon wrench would come on out of nowhere, the throttle would cut out, and the gas pedal would go limp and unresponsive. The only way to get it operational again was to turn the truck off, let it sit for 10-15 min to drain the computers, and restart. Imagine doing 70-75 mph in the left most lane and you lose all throttle and have to get your vehicle all the way to the right shoulder without the ability to speed up to avoid being hit in the process. Now imagine that same thing happening 3 times within a month. The dealership found failed factory power train wiring and a failed gateway module. This truck’s a 2023 with 50k highway miles. Shouldn’t be failing like this. Now it’s been at the dealership for 3 weeks…. .

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2026

?"when driving on interstate 15 in draper/bluffdale, external electronic interference forcefully disconnects the vehicle's infotainment and safety displays. This causes the main screen to go black, reboot, or freeze while moving at highway speeds (70+ mph). This creates an immediate distraction hazard and disables navigation instructions during high-speed traffic flow. The vehicle's shielding is insufficient to protect the driver from this predictable external interference, leading to a recurring safety hazard in a known dead zone. ".

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/06/2026

On 1/6 2026 and again on 1/19/2026 the vehicle camera display turned blue while the vehicle was operating in reverse. The camera eventually returned to normal operation. The condition cannot be reproduced on demand.

7 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/06/2026

I was driving on highway at 60 mph when drivers side rear window suddenly shattered. It was very confusing what was going on until my wife said that the window shattered. Luckily, no on was in that seat since there was glass everywhere. I dont believe anything hit the window, there was no indication something was wrong intil the shatter noise.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2026

I first received notification from Ford concerning this safety recall but despite calls to numerous dealers throughout the area no parts as as yet , January 5th, are available to make the repairs. It has been 8 months since the safety recall was sent out. This is well past a reasonable time for Ford to have the parts available.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2025

My f150 2023, while driving at slower speeds on four different occasions while applying the brakes, the truck will start accelerating all on its own! I contacted a Ford dealer and they verified on their end that the truck has done this. I have also read from other owners having this same situation.

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2025

I have an open recall that has not been fixed. I’ve been reaching out to my nearest Ford dealership and all I get back is the part is”ordered” or still on “back order”. I’ve been waiting since December for this to be resolved and still nothing. I bought the truck in November and immediately had it looked at. Now anything after market wheels/tires/supsension or lifts no shop wants to be liable or comfortable working on my truck until the recall is complete.

11 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2025

Truck is burning oil. Talked to over 5 dealerships and they says it’s a problem that they know about and are waiting for Ford to recall a section of the engine. Heard in naples FL all sheriff trucks are doing it and burning excessive amount of oil.

12 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2025

I recieved the recall. It states parts are available. I called my dealer in cortex, CO and was told they could not get the part to perform the repair.

13 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2025

The vehicle is subject to an active safety recall (rear axle hub bolt / axle assembly). The issue has been confirmed by a dealer inspection in November 2025. Despite confirmation, no repair was performed because the dealer did not initially order the required parts. This resulted in several months of delay. After escalation to the manufacturer, a parts order was finally placed in April 2026 and marked as priority. The dealer has since confirmed there is still no estimated time of arrival for the required parts, and the repair cannot be completed. This conflicts with recall information indicating that parts are available. The recall states that failure of the axle hub components can lead to loss of motive power or unintended vehicle movement. The vehicle is used regularly for towing and hauling, which increases concern about potential failure under load. The safety issue remains unresolved after several months, and there is no timeline for repair despite repeated attempts to address it through both the dealer and manufacturer.

14 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2025

My wife went to back out of our driveway. She was on the side of the driveway in some stones. She put the f150 into 4 wheel high which she has done numerous times. She shifted the truck into reverse with her foot on the brake and the truck accelerated and hit a tree 10' away from the rear of the truck, the truck has been taken for evaluation. I have to report my truck accelerated on its own. I called Ford motor twice and was on hold for an hour with no luck. There were no warnings at all on the dash. Insurance adjuster looked at it and told me to have it towed the the body shop for further evaluation. My wife was hurt and a contractor was standing in the are near the tree. The truck is now at sjm auto in sugarloaf PA.

15 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2025

I was notified that my truck has a safety recall and immediately reported this to frontier Ford via email on 8/18/25 per the service advisors request. Frontier Ford 3701 stevens creek blvd. Santa clara, CA 408. 241. 1800 it's now been 4 months and I'm still waiting for the replacement part. I've been told by the service advisor that it is ok to drive my truck, unless I hear any noise from the axle. No inspections have been done. I'm concerned about safety I don't want to overreact, but at the same time it's been 4 months. Please advise.

16 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2025

Ford is aware of an issue on the 2023 Ford f150 with pro power inverter. When the inverter turns on, the rf frequency emitted blocks the tire pressure sensors from sending their signal creating a fault. Dealers are recommending that owners replace their sensors rather than performing the fix. In many cases the vehicle is now out of warranty requiring customer to pay for the fix.

17 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2025

I was driving down the road going around 40 mph. No vehicles around me at all and no trees overhead when my sunroof suddenly exploded. No impact whatsoever occurred prior to the explosion, I just heard a loud boom, and glass started raining onto my sunroof liner. Thankfully it was closed but my young son was extremely frightened by the incident as was I.

18 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2025

The camera/ screen doesn’t always come on when you start the vehicle. Sometimes I start the truck and then put it in reverse but the camera does not display in the screen. At times the screen doesn’t turn on for several minutes after I’m driving.

19 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2025

Spontaneous shatter of the entire rear glass, outward, when shutting the rear door. There was no crack in the glass. The truck is still under full warranty but Ford will not even respond at this point. As you can see from the photos, the glass blew out backwards. A google search and forum search indicates there could be a recurrent issue with the Ford vehicle.

20 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2025

My f150 lightning won't drive wben put in drive. Then all the sudden it goes forward when not expecting it and we almost was in an accident. This happened many times and has been in service for over 3 months. They aren't able to fix it. We are trying to get them to take it back. The computer we noticed was defective the day after we bought it and inquired about it immediately. ?delayed engagement followed by a sudden lurch or unintended acceleration—matches several reports from other F-150 lightning owners. Because this vehicle is fully electric, "revving" effectively signals the electric motors to apply instant torque, which can lead to dangerous lunges if the software or sensors are out of sync. I mentioned the safety issues and it was not addressed our computer goes in and out and blacks out when driving. Anything you ask of it has not worked. This isn't the biggest deal but the safety issue. [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

21 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/26/2025

While driving my 2023 Ford F-150 XLT through a parking lot at low speed, I attempted to stop and shift into reverse to avoid a tight turn between parked vehicles. With my foot firmly on the brake, I shifted into reverse—though the gear shift was abnormally resistant. The system indicated the vehicle was in reverse. Despite keeping my foot on the brake, the truck suddenly and forcefully accelerated on its own, overriding my braking input. It collided with two parked vehicles before I was able to bring it to a stop by turning off the engine. The vehicle continued to accelerate even while I applied firm pressure to the brake pedal, which depressed all the way to the floor and failed to stop the truck. At no point did I press the gas pedal. After impact, the gear shift remained in reverse with a blinking red light. No airbags deployed. This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have seriously injured someone had they been standing nearby. Additionally, for some time leading up to the incident, I noticed increasing difficulty shifting gears even with the brake fully depressed. At times when in park the light for other gear modes would turn on.   indicating the vehicle may be in another mode other than park.   the brake pedal has also felt inconsistent, often requiring unusually deep and forceful pressure to stop, whether on highways, city streets, or in parking lots. This appears to be a critical failure of both the braking and transmission systems. I am extremely concerned for my safety and that of other Ford drivers. I am requesting a formal investigation into this matter.

22 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2025

The wheel end hub bolt in the rear axle has broken which is what the recall is for. However, this happened 2 months ago and the dealership is telling me as well as the recall letter I received on August 25 from Ford, is saying it can be months before they get the part to fix it. They have had my truck since June 2025. I am making payments on the truck and can't drive it. The dealer has been accomading me with another truck but it is a base model truck, not equivalent to what I purchased.

23 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2025

The rear axle hub bolt was found to be broken off, same as the other recalled vehicles from this manufacturer. I have been waiting over 2 1/2 weeks for my vehicle to be repaired with no parts in stock yet and no loaner vehicle.

24 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2025

Transmission making whining noise. Started making whiny noise at 14,000 miles. Currently has 18,000 miles. Complained to the dealer, but dealer said that this type of transmission makes this kind of noise and it is normal. Which is not normal from everything that I’m reading. It’s basically the transmission is failing and it’s just a matter of time before it quits completely. I will attach a note from the dealer.

25 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2025

Told by Ford to create this incident to have my 2023 f150 lariat added to the Ford fsa list for missing heated steering -- heated steering wheel performance upgrade 22g06. The vehicle matches all of the affected vehicles information but was not included on the for fsa list.

26 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2025

The truck's remote access app is not able to communicate with the truck during the entire period I own the truck. This features worked 20% of time only. I am not able to unlock or lock the truck remotely. I am not able to find out its location and I am not able to remotely start its cooling system to keep battery cool during charging. I have brought the issue to the dealer I purchased the truck from at least 3 time in the last 2 years. Even though the truck's key was locked in it at the dealer, this issue was not resolved due to cost of its repair. Other trucks were repaired with a new modem. The truck was advertised as a remotely accessible ev truck, I am concerned about my safety if this feature is not available and I am at a urgent situation when it is necessary to use the features.

27 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2025

Gear shifter was stuck in the car. Can happen at random times. For no reason at all, the gear shifter refuses to budge out of park, or reverse, or drive, and essentially bricks the car. Car refuses to move. Car refuses to respond to accelerator or brake pedals. Can happen in the middle of the road, or in a parking lot late at night when you are trying to leave a sketchy area. Can be an extremely dangerous circumstance, and Ford is trying to avoid attention to this at all costs.

28 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2025

I received the first recall notice last may, 2025. Safety recall notice: 23s65 - 9. 75" rear axle bolt breakage. No dealer within 3 hours driving has the parts for the repair 8 months later! and, they have no idea when (or even if!) those parts will be available. Once a safety issue is identified and a recall notice sent out, what time frame does the manufacturer have to make those repairs? it has been over 8 months - that is unacceptable. 29 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2025

To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally report a recurring water intrusion issue with my vehicle, which poses a potential safety risk. Whenever it rains and the vehicle is parked outside, water consistently leaks into the passenger-side interior. While driving, especially during acceleration or braking, I can hear the sound of water moving within the passenger side area. Upon inspection, I have found water pooling in the front passenger footwell, where multiple electrical wires are located. Additionally, there is an electrical control box situated beneath the passenger seat that may also be exposed to moisture. I also discovered water leaking behind the rear seat area. This section contains two air vents, which may be contributing to the issue. The water intrusion raises serious concerns about electrical system integrity, especially given the presence of wiring and components in affected areas. Although my vehicle has not yet experienced electrical failure while driving, I am aware of multiple reports from other owners who have encountered similar leaks that led to sudden engine shutdowns, including while driving in traffic — a serious safety hazard. I brought my vehicle to the service center for evaluation, but as of now, I have not received any resolution or updates regarding a fix. I have several videos of the situation as well. Given the potential risk to both vehicle occupants and others on the road, I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate this matter further to determine whether a recall or other safety action is warranted. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue.

30 Equipment problem

I continually get remote features disabled to preserve battery. Have taken it in to dealer, they can't find anything. I am told to drive truck for forty minutes or so. This doesn't help because in a couple of days it goes back to the warning. , it offers updates for the software for the Ford pass app it will never download. It says an error has occurred I didn't pay over $70000 for this truck to have to take it for a forty minute drive every couple of days to keep the battery charged if t can not be repaired, I would like a refund of my money and you take your truck back. This incident occurs every three or four days. .

31 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/19/2025

This vehicle started having issues. The truck would shut off going down the highway at 60-65 mph. The radio would blink on and off. The truck would shut down and not turn back on for multiple hours. Dealer couldn't replicate the problem. Our son utilized the truck to go and pick up lp gas for us from his shop. On the way back to our home, he stopped at a stop sign and suddenly noticed smoke coming from the dash. He attempted to put out the fire which was then raging under the dashboard and hood. He got the fire out, fire department arrived, truck ignited again. The fire department put out the truck. Son was burned trying to not have the truck explode with gas tanks in the back.

I am writing to request assistance regarding the customer satisfaction bulletin published by NHTSA, titled "heated steering wheel performance upgrade 22g06": [xxx] I purchased a 2023 Ford F-150 tremor from ryan Ford in sealy, TX, as a custom order with a build date of December 2022. While I originally paid for a heated steering wheel as part of the vehicle's configuration, this feature was removed during production due to supply chain issues. The omission is noted on my vehicle’s window sticker. Upon reviewing the 22g06 bulletin, I understand that certain F-150 vehicles, including those built in December 2022 at the dearborn plant, qualify for the upgrade. Based on this information, my truck appears to meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the bulletin. I initially contacted my sales agent at ryan Ford to arrange the upgrade but was informed that my truck is not eligible and was directed to contact Ford customer service. When I reached out to Ford customer service, I was advised to contact NHTSA, as Ford is unable to consider adding my truck to the VIN list for eligibility without NHTSA approval. This back-and-forth has left me without a clear resolution or pathway forward. Could you please clarify why my vehicle is deemed ineligible for this upgrade, despite seemingly meeting all the stated criteria? furthermore, I would appreciate your guidance on how I can ensure my dealership completes this upgrade, considering my vehicle's apparent qualifications. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

33 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/22/2024

While driving my 2023 Ford F-150 on the freeway, the sunroof spontaneously shattered without warning. The failure occurred at highway speeds, producing a loud gunshot-like sound that startled me. The glass broke in an upward trajectory, which is inconsistent with the possibility of an external object, such as a rock, causing the damage. There were no other vehicles around me at the time, and no debris struck the windshield or surrounding areas. The shattered sunroof remains available for inspection upon request. The safety of myself and others was put at significant risk. Shattered glass could have fallen into the cabin while I was driving, potentially causing injuries or a distraction that might lead to an accident. Minutes prior to the incident, I had two young children under three years old in the vehicle, heightening my concern about the severity of this issue. Thankfully, they were not present when the sunroof shattered. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, but I did bring the vehicle to the dealership where I purchased it. The dealership, after consulting with Ford corporate, denied warranty coverage and suggested the damage was caused by a rock. This conclusion does not align with the circumstances or the nature of the damage. Neither the manufacturer nor any independent service center has inspected the sunroof further for potential defects. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the incident. This failure was entirely sudden and unexpected. Based on my research, spontaneous sunroof shattering is a documented issue that has occurred in similar vehicles, often attributed to defective tempered glass or thermal stress. I believe this incident is the result of a manufacturing defect in the sunroof glass.

34 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2024

Sunroof blowup. It didn't break: it blow up. Explosion was loud; disorienting ; confusing. It put vehicle, me and passagers at risk. Reson for the glass exploding are not clear. I was doing nothing that would cause it to happen. Not a use in time of explosion. No know stressers. No weather caused reasons in happening. It exploded for no know reason.

35 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2024

When performing low-speed departing, 3-point turns, parking, etc. , I repeatedly shifted into the wrong gear. I thought I’d suddenly forgotten how to drive. Once home in my driveway, I discovered the shifter had 2 “extra” detents. It takes 2 clicks to get from p to r and two clicks to get from d to n. There should only be one! this is extremely unsafe and I won’t drive the truck until it’s fixed (except to take it to the dealer using extra caution when using the shifter).
