Adas problems of the 2024 Ford F-150

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the forward collision avoidance system failed to function properly. The contact stated that while driving in traffic, after being cut off by another vehicle, the forward collision avoidance system failed to detect or alert the driver of the issue, or activate the forward collision avoidance automatic emergency braking feature. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Ford dealer on two separate occasions due to the failures. During the first visit, the service department performed a diagnostic test but was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was instructed to return if the failure persisted. During the second service visit, a technician performed a road test with the contact and successfully verified that the adas safety features were inoperable. The technician and the contact performed identical test drives on four brand new 2026 Ford F-150 vehicles at the dealer and experienced similar failures with the forward collision avoidance system. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
