Was stopped behind a car in line in the parking lot. The truck was in drive with the auto hold brake feature enabled. The auto hold disengaged and the car rolled forward rear ending the car in front of me. Collision alert didn't sound as expected. A similar recall came out August 6 for 2025 f150s.

I have 2 problems with my vehicle that have been going on for a while now. First there is an existing recall for 2020 Ford f150's nhta 25v442 Ford 25s72. Pertaining to the sync 3 malfunctioning as Ford put it "Ford says that an error in the sync infotainment system could cause a blank image to be displayed while reversing, or the rear-view image may remain on display even after a driver has stopped reversing. " my vehicle is and has been doing this for a very long time. However, my vehicle VIN is not included in the recall. Though it should be since it is the exact same problem. The other safety issue I have is the front facing camera. It has completely stopped working quite some time ago. I asked Ford about it, and they told me they would have to charge me to look into it. I don't have the money to throw at problems that should be fixed under recall because they are safety issues. This camera not working shuts down the pre collision assist which is very dangerous. It also controls the auto hi and lo beam for seeing at night, and last but not least the cruise control doesn't work without it.

While driving, a vehicle began stopping in front of me. I attempted to stop, however my braking power seemed heavily reduced. Eventually the emergency automatic braking kicked in and engaged my emergency brake. I barely stopped in time. Simultaneously, several warning lights appeared on my dash including abs, traction control, hill assist, and check engine. Immediately after the incident, my brake pedal felt loose. Braking power was severely diminished and delayed. Stopping while going a mere 5 mph would take about 10 yards. It was extremely dangerous and scary to operate - even to pull into the nearest safe parking lot. Upon restarting my vehicle twice, the lights went off except for the check engine light and my braking power returned.
On [xxx], at approximately [xx], a deer unexpectedly ran out from the side of the road and struck the side of my vehicle. The deer ran out from a tree line that backs up to a neighborhood adjacent to [xxx] the deer was to the left, and the a-pillar blocked the view of the deer, which was traveling at relatively the same speed as the truck, which kept the deer in the blind spot until impact. Despite the impact, the crash avoidance system did not detect the animal, did not initiate braking, and did not provide any audible or visual alerts that an accident had occurred. The truck continued moving forward until I manually applied the brakes. The deer was relatively similar in size to a teenager, and all though the vehicle is not designed to detect animals, it is still concerning it did not even register the deer, did not do any evasive steering, did not apply brakes when the accident occurred, and did not even notify me of the accident before, during, or post crash event. With the advertised safety features on the truck, I worry that if this had been person, the truck would not have registered the person either. This vehicle has random bursts and loss of power due to the transmission not shifting properly. There is a noise coming from the passenger front that may be tied to transmission failure. Pre collision assist isn’t working due to ecm problem.
On three separate occasions when I open my door, I get a “brake fault service soon” notification. I’ve done research and forums say this was a recall in the past. I’m aware my truck doesn’t have any current recalls but it has me wondering if it was ever fixed or if the repair was not good enough. I never owned the vehicle when the original recall came out so I’m not too sure what happened.

The truck has a body frame that was cracked in several spots and welded back together in more then 5 different spots and the welding job is very poor. The truck has a power steering line leak, cvs axle leaks and a exhaust manifold leak. The dealership fixed upper ball joints when we agreed on lower and upper in the front. They added a exhaust but did not do the job correctly with completing the job and the welding of it. Ive made a complaint with the loan company and I as well have talked to the owner of the dealership and he fights that none of those things are wrong with the truck and im lying but I have had a inspection done on the truck. When I got the truck I looked it over and so did my brother I pointed the issues of what needed fixed that I could see and that was not done. I then started having issues with the truck and took it to a mechaninc and had an inspection done.

The weather was heavy rain. The road was a two lane rural roadway with a 35mph speed limit. There were no other vehicles present and there were no obstructions in the roadway. As I slowed approaching a stop sign, the collision warning system activated. Traction control activated. The vehicle began braking. The transmission put itself in park at ~15 mph. When the vehicle stopped moving it turned itself off. The vehicle came to a stop in the lane it was traveling in at the time it began to malfunction. The vehicle transmission would not come out of park. When I attempted to restart the vehicle it activated the horn until it was turned off again. Safety issue was the vehicle sudden stop and coming to rest in the travelled portion of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to battlefield Ford in culpeper va on the date of the incident ([xxx]) and it was returned to me on [xxx]. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Rear backup camera and distance sensors stopped working. The issue is intermittent this issue could have resulted in an accident or injury/fatality due to no image sensor information no dealer involvement at this time no outside inspections at this time no prior warnings or messages were given before the failure.

I was driving around 35-40mph, slowing down, heading to a right hand turn lane. No vehicles in front of me. As I crossed over my lane into the turn lane my e-brake automatically came on and my pre collision braking light came on. No warning, nothing caused by me, and I have no clue how it happened. I had to physically pull the e-brake lever to release the brakes on a major road.
I was traveling 47 mph and suddenly the parking brake was activated, causing the car to brake instantly. Luckily, no one was behind me and luckily it did not cause an accident. There were no lights on the dashboard. I took it to the Ford dealer to have it inspected and they gave me an appointment for 8 days later and let me go home knowing that I could not drive it since I almost caused an accident.
Anti lock brake fault and disabled hill start assist failure collision waring system failure all of these occurred while driving. Luckily I was able to move the vehicle of the road and was able to avoid any accidents.
Truck had two error messages. 1. Front camera malfunction service needed 2. Forward collision error.
Driving home at approx. 50 mph my F-150 Ford downshifted into 1st gear for no reason? locking up the rear tires and slamming me forward. I put in my VIN number and found my truck is not part of Ford's recall for f 150's 2011 thru 2014. I don't know why it's not part of the recall ? the recall 19so7 describes what happened exactly. Ford said the dealers fixed this by reprogramming the tcu or transmission control module. I believe there is damage to the transmission. I took it to goode Ford in burley, idaho they said it has too many miles they would not even look at it ?.

Three warnings light antilock brake fault, hill start assist warning, and pre-collision assist not available. Brakes failed. I was fortunate that no one was in front of me but the truck barely stopped. Took full pedal to the floor to force lockup. I am filing the matter as it does appear to be a frequently occurring concern in 2021 and 2022 models based on what I have read to date.
VIN: [xxx] NHTSA recall number: 23v41800 manufacturer recall number: 23s30 my car has a current NHTSA, I have scheduled over 5 appointments to have Ford address the reverse lightbar replaced. And all 5 appointments have been unsuccessful at replacing the light since [xxx]. It is now October 2024, over 17 months since the NHTSA recall from June 2023. As of the date of this letter, my next appointment is schedule for [xxx], once again I called colonial Ford dealership in Plymouth, massachusetts to confirm my lightbar is available and the service advisor told me it is not in stock, and rescheduled me to [xxx]. This letter pursues, after several failed appointment and long wait times waiting to hear the part is on backorder for the last year. I am attaching proof all appointments and phone calls, and email notices of scheduled appointments, but were unsuccessful since the part is not in at the dealership. Over the course of the last year, I have called monthly and after receiving email and recall notices, and to no avail, each time I am told the part is on backorder and to call back. I continue to have problems with my taillight flickering, and problems with my reverse light for the last six months, recently a few weeks ago, I was given a warning by Plymouth police department in massachusetts. I explained and showed proof of the recall. I have patiently waited since I keep thinking it will be here next month, well it is now almost 1. 5 years later and the part is still on “backorder”. Patiently waiting is now a safety issue. I have explained to the service advisor that my car detects an accident collision because of the faulty light and Ford has failed to promptly address and replace the tail light. Please see Ford attached invoices addressing the collision detection malfunctioning from November 2023. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Continues issues with the electrical and hybrid system. This is the second time of complete vehicle failure, although the power steering went out completely and the automatic parking brake briefly activated before the truck completely failed / quit running.
On 14 September, at approximately 11am, I rear ended another vehicle a Honda pilot. I anticipated the vehicle in front of me pulling out into the intersection and took my eyes off that vehicle to look at vehicles approaching from my left. The vehicle in front of me stopped and I hit them moving less than 10 mph. The airbags didn't deploy and the people in both vehicles were fine. However, my 2022 Ford F-150 platinum is equipped with emergency braking and pre-collision safety features. They did not engage and I hit the vehicle. People cannot rely on these systems protecting them.
While driving, my truck down shifted suddenly. Already 3 times on different occasions.

I was slowing to a stop at a stoplight in traffic when the brake pedal dropped to the floor and the truck was no longer slowing. The abs, anti collision, and check brake system lights all illuminated. I was able to slow the truck and place in park to stop. Vehicle was taken to dealership where it was found to be in perfect condition according to the mechanic. I have been told that I should have no issue taking the vehicle although nothing has been resolved.
This vehicle would stop. I lost control hit the vechicle in front me that stop with no lights on.

My wife was driving about 40 mph and the emergency collision alarm came on causing the vehicle to abruptly try to stop. San alarm went off in the dash indicating an imminent crash causing my wife to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of us and none in the opposing lane or behind us to trigger this response. My wife speculated maybe a bird flew across in front of us but I dodn,t see that. It was very alarming and almost caused her to lose control of the vehicle. I had this happen to me driving alone at about 40 mph. The only difference , there was a vehicle in front of m e but I was not close enough to trigger this safety alarm. The vehicle in front of me was not stopped and I was not close enough to trigger this response. I was at least4 or 5 car lengths away doing 40 mph. And they were traveling about the same speed. No rapid approach issue. . .

Truck was repair as per the recall of the emergency brake however is still applying the parking brake again and took it to have it scan but Ford dealer ship says they don't find no codes or anything saying it does and I'm just scared of continuing to put myself and my family at risk when is still applying the emergency brake whenever it wants. So far has done it over 3 times in a period of a few moths after the recall was supposedly been done for that same reason. On the picture I'm posting here is the invoice of the repair of the recall. Is in spanish part of it but all the numbers of the recall are there.
I had turned right off muir’s chapel road in greensboro onto ellenwood drive. It is not a busy road. I was preparing to turn left on westland drive, greensboro and there were no other cars on the road and no parked cars. The instrument panel flashed a box that said something like ‘pre collision alert’. There were no other vehicles around and no pedestrians and it was around lunchtime.
While coasting to an upcoming stop downhill, on slightly graded slope, speed within 15mph or less, with brake slightly applied; the automatic parking brake engaged on its own, subsequently resulting in the transmission shifting of drive modes to park automatically. The vehicle came to an instant, unexpected stop, while still maintaining a speed around 5mph on its own. The vehicle locked up mid-line-of-traffic, leaving the potential of a rear-end collision by following vehicle. No known damage to transmission or powertrain resulted. Adverse weather/road conditions did not play a factor at the time of incident. Incident has occurred multiple times prior, during similar environment & circumstance.
After a recurring dashboard alert to tell me that front sensors and rear braking were offline, I took the vehicle for warranty repair. The Ford dealer indicated that the repair would cost $519, because it was a wiring failure and not a failure in a part. According to the service advisor, the failure is a common failure that occurs at a tee where the wiring branches to a sensor just behind the rear bumper. He said that it is not covered by Ford's "bumper to bumper" warranty because it's a wiring failure and not a part failure (although the subject wiring harness does carry a Ford part number). Since my 2022 truck had only about 14,000 miles and had been lightly used (no off-road use), I balked at the notion that it should not be Ford's responsibility to replace the wiring harness. I paid only the diagnosis fee ($155) and took the truck home. On investigation, I found the harness and sensor wire he described to be easily accessible and easily damaged by any sort of road debris. I also found the wiring from the harness to the sensor to be unsupported, leading me to conclude that resonance due to normal road vibrations could have led to metal fatigue in the wire. It's my view that Ford's conclusion that this is normal wear and tear on a truck is ludicrous. I expressed this view in a letter to Ford's consumer relationship center, but the response was simply to back the dealer's determination. They did provide the option to seek a second dealer opinion, but my concern is more about the long-term vulnerability as I am capable of repairing or replacing the harness myself. It's my conclusion that the joint should be shielded from road hazards and the wires to the sensors should be separately supported to reduce stress on the joint in the harness. My belief that this is a matter for nhtsb is based on the fact that the harness failure compromises rear emergency braking.

I was in an accident and the automatic braking sensor did not kick in even though there was a vehicle directly in front of me. As a result, my collision warning never sounded and the active braking feature of my vehicle never engaged.
After braking to enter drive way. The truck accelerated spontaneously causing vehicle to hit a wall. Similarly on previous occasions the truck has lurched forward when releasing the brake after coming to a complete stop at red lights or stop signs.
On 3 occasions the emergency break applied itself while vehicle still moving and all of them was parking the vehicle but not got to fully stop when e brake applied itself. Also took it to the dealer nut they didn't find anything wrong with the vehicle.
Park brake limited function. Service required. Says my brake light is on. Drains my battery. Is this the same recall for 2021 & 2022??.
Emergency brake activated while driving causing tires to lock and skid forward.
We were in a low speed situation. A car 2 cars in front of us was signaling a right hand turn. We began to slow down from approximately 25 mph to 5-7 mph. The car turning right stop short of completing their turn, the car immediately in front of us came to a complete stop. We were only traveling 5 - 7 mph behind and had plenty of room to stop. I depressed the brake further (we were already slowing due to turning vehicle) but the truck did not slow at which point I depressed the brake pedal as hard as I could. The truck did not slow at all in this time (no brake locking, no skid marks). We only came to a stop when we hit the stopped vehicle in front of us. Additionally, this vehicle has advanced safety features (forward collision warning and active braking assist) -- none of these features triggered. I have lost all faith in this vehicles ability given the situation. I contacted Ford customer service, they referred me to their office of general counsel and said to expect a response in 45 - 60 days. That is unacceptable to me -- I have a very expensive vehicle that I cannot drive as I do not trust it. I want to understand why all these systems failed, have them as well as my vehicle fixed or the vehicle bought back from me. I cannot wait 60 days for resolution.
While driving at approximately 45 mph my parking brake warning light and message on the instrument panel cluster came on, on several occasions. I also recently experienced an unintended activation of the electric parking brake while driving.
Regarding: 2015 Ford f150 with 20,000 original miles on it. -made 1st report with NHTSA. Gov as well as Ford. Com back in June 2023 about the vehicle throwing codes for anti-lock brake system and communication loss of ecm/pcm. As well as, the system not allowing the brand new battery to ever be fully charged. -upon 1st reporting these issues, the vehicle was placed into the "friendly Ford" service center in crosby, TX to be worked on and issues fixed. $1,376, later, we were contacted by the service center to pick the vehicle up, saying issues were now fixed. (their prognosis: auxillary transmission pump replacement 6/19/2023) after picking vehicle up, all seemed to be running correctly. Until, the vehicle decided to do the exact same thing again. . . No charging the battery, not starting engine, turning itself off, ect. Just got the vehicle out of the same service shop,, this time them claiming that it was now the transmission control module that needed to be replaced. This service trip costed $1490 (july27, 2023). When the service worker went out to bring the truck around for us to leave, he had to attach a battery booster to the battery, just to be able to start the vehicle. . . . Ding< ding< ding!! not fixed. . . . . . Right ?! correct!! it is not!! so, here we are again (07/29/2023) with the code reader at autozone saying "anti-lock brake system/ ecm/pcm (u0151-00 and u0100-00). Battery tested to be in good working order, as well as the entire starting system, itself is in complete working order. And still our problem persists.
