On a separate occasion, the console screen ceased to function and would not display data and shut off intermittently and turned on independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer made several software updates; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. 2 Forward Collision Avoidance problem of the 2023 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/10/2025

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 mph and making a right turn and coming to a stop, the check engine and forward collision avoidance warning light deactivated, and the traction control warning light and other system failure warning lights were illuminated. The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150 hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the forward collision avoidance system warning light illuminated. While driving in the sun at various speeds, the vehicle drifted towards the ditch while there are no other vehicles nearby. The radio was inoperable. The trailer disconnected message was displayed without a trailer being connected to the vehicle. After it rained or after the vehicle was washed, the vehicle was slow to start and went into accessory mode. The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the anti-collision warning was activated with an audio sound, and the message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the failure had occurred at least six times with no objects around the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph with the adaptive cruise control engaged and traveling under an overpass the brakes would engage slowing the vehicle down abruptly. While passing an 18-wheeler on the right side of the road at highway speeds, the adaptive cruise control activated and the collision warning with brake support feature engaged without warning. The failure occurred twice and caused the vehicle to come to a complete stop.
