Catalytic Convertor problems of the 1997 Ford F-250

Two problems related to catalytic convertor have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Catalytic Convertor problem

Failure Date: 08/08/1998

Engine failed due to overhead cam pulley catalatic converters being totally blocked. Yh.

2 Catalytic Convertor problem

Failure Date: 11/20/1997

A catalytic convertor was put on a diesel truck. This caused a back pressure to occur. A hole was created in bottom of turbo. Carbon monoxide was escaping through heater vent, causing a hazardous problem for driver, who became nauseous & had a headache. Manufacturer knows about problem, but is not doing anything.
