This is my 2nd replacement of a throttle position sensor. Very expensive repair! $500-600 (basically a new pedal assembly. ) what is disturbingly unsafe is the driver will lose all throttle response anytime and unknowingly random timing. Could be on the freeway (with traffic on your butt! could be at a light turning left! could be crossing a intersection or railroad crossing that you were stopped at! it is very unnerving to step on the pedal and have no response when your very own safety is at stake! I feel Ford is hiding this issue for decades and gouging the consumer multiple times! please help me right this wrong. I notice a lot of posting on others having this issue for years!!! why is Toyota held accountible for such minor issues like a floor mat hold down point and an american manufacturer can tell you "sorry"there is no recall or free repair for such important function of a vehicle??? I pray that no one is killed and forces a huge lawsuit. . Because Ford won't recover from the claims! again ,,I want you to think about this the next time you have your family in the car and you are in the position to safely move when your foot moves the gas pedal and nothing happens! this is bs,, the cover ups need to stop!.
Truck began making ticking sounds for about 3 days. When started a spark plug was blown out of its mounting hole. Threads in head are not deep enough.
Cables holding the spare tire under the truck bed broke and dropped the tire to the ground. This occured while the truck was moving but fortunately was still in the farm lane. Could have been extremely dangerous had it happened on the highway.
