Seven problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated while traveling at an undetermined speed on a dirt road, the driver became distracted and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the road, and hit several pine trees head on. A towing hook on the front driver side became logged in a tree and resulted in the vehicle over turning. Once the vehicle overturned most of the impact was on the front driver side. Only an occupant in the rear passenger seat was wearing a seat belt. There were five occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The driver and the occupant seated directly behind the driver lost their lives as a result of the accident. All other occupants received minor injuries. The police filed a report at the scene. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance agency, but did not make any determination as to why the airbags did not deploy. The manufacturer has not been contacted.

While traveling at 50-55 mph and as a result of a collision head-on with two wheel trailer air bags did not deploy. A vehicle that was being towed, came off the trailer and hit consumers vehicle head on, consumers wife hit the steering wheel with her face.
Consumers vehicle was involved in a head on collision at 55 mph, however the air bag did not deploy, as a result the consumer sustained a broken neck and closed head injuries. Nlm.
While driving 65-70 mph and towing a trailer extreme vibration occurred which caused loss of vehicle control, resulting in truck and trailer turning over. The air bags did not deploy during the accident and the trailer was total loss.
Was traveling approximately 40mph when another vehicle got "t"-boned. Upon impact with other vehicle, air bags failed to deploy. Other vehicle's air bags deployed. Pror to accident, air bag light would come on & then failed to go off. Had taken to dealership 4 or 5 times for repairs.
While driving 30-35 mph had a head on collision, and air bags did not deploy. Consumer feels that this is a safety hazard.
