Three problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While parking at 5 mph consumer depressed the brakes and vehicle would not slow down. Then, vehicle collided into a building. A certified mechanic was called to the scene, and informed the consumer that the actuating rod retaining clip broke, and was laying on the floor of the vehicle.

When at a stop not able to turn wheels while brakes are applied. Ford company indicated that this was the way vehicle was designed. The design flaw is the cause for steering problem that occurs when brakes are applied. A new wider stance, tie rod angle and the fact that there is more weight in the front end than on the 97 older body style vehicle.
