Two problems related to gas tank strap have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Pulling out of a parking lot and the strap that holds the gas tank broke (rusted through) and the gas tank fell onto the road surface. The tank was almost full at the time of the incident.
The straps on the fuel tank broke while I was driving. I did not discover until I arrived home and smelled a strong odor of gas. I looked under the truck and the gas tank was dragging on the ground. Luckily it was snowing or a fire would have occurred.
