The contact owns a 2001 Ford f250 super duty. The contact stated driving at approximately 40 mph, the vehicle would not accelerate as he continued to depress the accelerator pedal. He shifted the vehicle into neutral and back into drive to get the vehicle to accelerate. The failure continued to persist intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed the accelerator pedal and the accelerator pedal sensors would need to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of having the accelerator pedal and sensors replaced. The VIN was unavailable. The failure and current mileages were 70,000.
