Two problems related to tire marking have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Concerning tread separation on uniroyal liberator a/t lt 265/75r16 tire purchased from walmart on 092007,approx. 36,000 miles on tire. Used on 2001 Ford F-250,diesel, rear wheel drive. The tire has dot marking as follows: dot bfw8 c62u 0807, e range rated. On March 23 2011 while driving at 65 mph I felt bad vibration and when safe, pulled off roadway to find the right rear tire to have a bulge on tread and side wall distortion. I have had this same failure from cooper tires which caused loss of control and destruction to quarter panel. I changed the tire and later (03302011) contacted uniroyal who opened a file based on my phone number(281-585-6348). Uniroyal claims no recall nor do they acknowledge any similar complaints on this tire. I have 3 of these tires and have safety concerns on the 2-remaining tires in use. At times I pull an RV or a boat and must have an assurance that these tires will be safe to use.
