As soon as the truck started, it popped out one of its spark plug. The truck started shaking and made a hollow noise and began to smoke and quickly caught on fire. The fire burned the entire truck.
No wreck that I was told about when bought.
Ford f250 4x4 6. 8l v10 spit out number10 sparkplug at 65 mph for the second time now two months after repair. Paid $60 for repair kit plus $65 for another new coil as it gets damaged each time this happens. No fire this time as I was able to stop and remove the coil before getting off highway.
Paint is peeling off of hood of my Ford f 250 heavy duty truck.
After driving about 30 miles and returning home, the truck caught fire while sitting in the driveway - about 20 minutes after engine was turned off. By the time smoke was seen, flames were coming from under the hood and the right front tire was burning. The fire department put out the fire but the truck was completely destroyed. The flames spread to an adjacent vehicle and it too was destroyed.
Vehicle was parked, key off , not attended, caught fire, burned vehicle and surrounding equipment and buildings to the ground, but everyone denies that the cruise cancel switch caused it even though the symptoms fit.
