One problem related to alternator/generator/regulator has been reported for the 2003 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2003 Ford F-250. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled and the instrument panel warning indicators illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, turned off the engine, and restarted the vehicle. The dealer replaced the engine harness and cam sensor, but the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and was informed that the alternator was overcharged. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
