The contact owns a 2003 Ford f250 superduty. While attempting to decelerate with the brakes engaged, the contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. He was able to shift the vehicle into neutral when he noticed that the engine made a roaring noise. He turned the vehicle off, restarted it and it performed normally. The contact did not inform the dealer or manufacturer nor was the failure diagnosed or the vehicle repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
