Two problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 2005 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I own a 2005 Ford F-250 4x4. At slow speeds as taking off from a stop the front end shifts from left to right so hard I cannot steer the truck. I must stop and move the steering wheel left to right a few times before starting to move again. Its like the steering pump is pushing the steering wheel left to right.
The contact stated there was severe vibration in the front suspension while driving at highway speeds. He took the vehicle to the dealer and the power steering pump was replaced. Afterwards, the problem recurred, and he took the vehicle back to the dealer. This time the dealer replaced the front and rear shocks. All repairs were covered by the warranty. There were no further problems.
