Two problems related to gasoline fuel system have been reported for the 2006 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have a 2006 Ford f250 6. 0 it has been towed 8 times, I ve had turbo, injector, electrical, wheel, trans problems since day one of purchase. Theres over 16 pages of mechanical problems that has been performed and counting. I know I am not the only one thats having these problems and I can't get much assistance from Ford. It going to take someone like this agency to help us. This is alot when you pay $51000. 00 plus addition repairs for a vehicle with a extented warr.
2006 F-250 sd 6. 0 diesel engine. A fuel leak onto the engine developed due to a degraded o-ring where the fuel pressure regulator assembly attaches to the engine mounted fuel filter. The leakage was estimated at 6 drops per minute when the engine was running. The housing and o-ring are subject to approximately 45 psig and are on the upper section of the engine. The leak was detected due to strong odor of unburned diesel fumes coming in the hvac system when stopped at a light and at the front exterior of the truck just after shutting the engine off. The dealer stated and my own research on internet forumns indicated this is a common issue. Under the wrong circumstances this could be a fire hazard and at best is an issue with environmental impact to some degree. The dealer is making this repair at my expense.
