Four problems related to structure have been reported for the 2006 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Structure problem

Failure Date: 02/20/2018

2006 Ford f-259. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle shaking while driving at speeds over 70 mph. The consumer stated the shaking became so violent it felt as if the front end was going to rip off.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2010

I have a 2006 f250 diesel, superduty, supercab, long bed, 4x4. On the right rear tire area, the emergency brake line loops down below the undercarriage of the vehicle. On the left side it loops up. On all Ford trucks that I have seen, with the exception of the 2006, both sides loop up. This is a 4x4 truck. I believe that it is unsafe to have the emergency brake line loop down, as the lowest point on the vehicle, on a truck that will be used off road. This truck is used on a ranch and for trailering horses, so the possibility of driving over branches and rocks that could catch on the emergency brake line is high. In this downward position, it is likely to break if it hits a rock or branches. I have requested the dealer and Ford corporate to fix it, but they have informed me that they cannot modify the vehicle design. I have photos that I can send, but I do not see where to attach on this contact form. I believe that the emergency brake line should be adjusted to loop up to be in a safer position and not be the lowest point, hanging below the undercarriage of the vehicle.

3 Structure problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2009

Extreme shaking and near loss of control after crossing over a minimal bump at speeds above 55 mph. Happened 9 times within the last two years. Only way to end shaking was to leave the roadway and slam on the brake.

4 Structure problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2006

: the contact stated that light reflects onto the dashboard, resulting in visibility issue with the speedometer. The dealership has been alerted. Updated 8/16/2006 - the problem is not primarily a glare problem. The gauges are recessed which may also be a cause of the visibility issue.
