Two problems related to power train have been reported for the 2010 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Twice I have taken my truck to the dealership for a tapping noise. The noise seems to occur when its really cold outside or vehicle hasn't been run for couple days. The noise lasts about 10 seconds than goes away. Of course dealership and Ford said the vehicle is within specifications. Yesterday, I noticed a strong burning smell like a clutch was going out, only problem is mine is an automatic. Truck only has 50k miles and I started having the tapping noise around 32k miles.
Since I have owned this truck from 2010 to current I have had problems with the exhaust manifolds and a transmission overflow relief valve. The exhaust manifolds keep popping the studs which allows fumes inside the truck upon a $2000. 00 bill every time. . . This issue could cause the whole exhaust system to fall right out from under the truck while driving. The other issue is the trans overflow. . . . Everytime it happens it spits the fluid out all over the exhaust which causes a fire everytime. I have been reporting these problems since I have purchased the truck. These problems need to be adressed before someone gets hurt or worse.
