Fuel Pump problem

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull the vehicle off to the side of the road; however, the vehicle failed to restart after multiple attempts. He initially had the vehicle towed to a dealer where he was informed that his vehicle could not be inspected for two weeks. The contact then towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed him that the fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and provided him with a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.
