Four problems related to steering wheel vibrate have been reported for the 2015 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Death wobble. Steering wheel shaking uncontrollably.
Twice driving on freeways doing about 70mph the entire truck began to shake/vibrate violently. The steering wheel shakes, and the entire cab shakes like an earthquake. I had to slow down to about 40mph to get it to stop shaking.
Started having death wobble last year at about 95000 miles. Put new tires on it, new rotors, trackbar, draglink, tie rods. I think it is a lot more controllable but it still bump steers in curves and the steering wheel shakes violently when hitting a bump but doesn't break into death wobble. I've just reported three vehicles that have this problem all in the last year.
While driving on local roads the steering wheel starts shaking, the front wheels are wobbling and causing the truck to become unstable. In order to maintain control I have to slow the vehicle down until the wobbling stops. It seems to happen on very smooth and flat highways. It first happened around two years after I bought the truck new but I didn't think it was an issue as it only happened on one certain stretch of road that I traveled occasionally. In the last year it has started happening more and more often causing me concern that the truck could become uncontrollable. The truck has been well maintained and has never been used off road or hauled/pulled heavy loads. The stock suspension is not modified/lifted.
