The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 mph, there was a sudden explosion, and the glass sunroof panel was ejected from the vehicle. The contact retrieved the sunroof from the road and the vehicle was later taken to the dealer. The cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was 116,000.

2 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem

Failure Date: 04/12/2024

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the sunroof failed to close immediately as needed. After several attempts, the contact was able to close the sunroof while pressing the close button. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sunroof and tracks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 173,000.
