Automatic Transmission Control Module problems of the 2020 Ford F-250

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while in drive(d), the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was pumped gradually, and the vehicle accelerated as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who retrieved dtc code: p0685. The contact was informed that the pcm relay needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 91,000.

The contact's husband owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated while her husband was at a stop sign, the transmission seized in 2nd gear and the vehicle failed to respond while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact's husband stated that the check engine warning light illuminated and "wrench" symbol was displayed on the instrument panel. On another occasion, the transmission seized in 7th gear and the vehicle was unable to make it up an overpass. The vehicle inadvertently started to roll back down the overpass. The contact's husband also had alerts on the Ford pass monitoring tool and received a “failure with pcm and 2nd gear bypassing during cycle" alerts on his cell phone. The contact drove the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
