The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-250 sd. The contact had experienced several electrical failures with the vehicle and the vehicle had been back to the dealer for repairs for more than 70 days. The contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to properly illuminate, and it was difficult to see the information on the instrument cluster. The contact also stated that the front passenger’s side window failed to roll up in one motion. The contact stated that the window would stop halfway up and had to be rolled back down first and then another attempt had to be made to roll the window up for the window to operate as needed. Additionally, the back over prevention and trailer park assists system functions failed to operate as needed. The contact also stated that the back over prevention software failure of the tpasin module caused the screen to intermittently display a distorted image, a blue screen, or displayed a solid black screen. The contact also stated that the powertrain axle assembly shaft was improperly heat treated during the manufacturing process. Additionally, the vehicle experienced failures with steering column, and the tailgate release function occasionally failed to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions and remained with dealer often, for two to three weeks each time. The contact stated that the dealer attempted to assess a diagnostic fee even though the failure was a known failure with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure on several occasions however, the contact stated that the manufacturer failed to acknowledge the failures or take the vehicle back from when the vehicle was first purchased new. The approximate failure mileage was 500.
Rear back up camera screen is blue and doesn’t function. Was told by Ford it could be a software issue but isn’t part of the current recall of 2023 f250 super duty.
