Tl the contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. When the contact attempted to close the front driver side door from outside the vehicle, the door would not close. When the contact attempted to close the door from inside the vehicle, the door would not close or latch properly. The contact had to make a few attempts before the door would latch. In addition, "door ajar" illuminated on the instrument panel once the door was closed. The contact called stuckey Ford (500 broad st, hollidaysburg, PA 16648, (844) 200-3673) and an appointment was made to diagnose the vehicle. The dealer stated over the phone that the door locking mechanism may be fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,000.

My Ford F-250 was broken into via the door handles. My truck is a crewcab and the thieves entered from both sides. Law enforcement reports this is one of the easiest vehicles to break into. A criminal can make entry in seconds. I believe a vehicles lock should hold up longer than that. If this vehicle is that easy to get into, how hard would it be for someone to enter a locked vehicle with someone in it? I not only feel that my personal property is not safe, but the people in the vehicle as well. Shouldn't Ford make there trucks safer?.

On March 3rd 2007, I was shopping at a wal-mart super center in douglasville, GA. When I returned to my vehicle (a brand new 2007 Ford F-250) I discovered that while I had been shopping my vehicle had been broken into. Although nothing was stolen from my vehicle over $1000. 00 to $2000. 00 or more, worth of damage was caused when the vehicle was broken into. I immediately called the police and when they arrived I filled out a police report. The purpose of this letter is to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Ford motor company for what I consider an extremely defective product (the door-handle/lock plate) that, I am now having to pay for. All it took for a thief to break into my Ford F-250 was, what the police officer determined, a flat-head screwdriver. It is extremely disturbing to think that all a person has to do is jam a screwdriver under the plate, for the door-handle/lock plate, pry down and the door pops open. This is a serious mechanical defect to the craftsmanship of this vehicle. As it stands it is easier to break into a Ford vehicle with one of these substandard door-handle/lock plates than it takes a locksmith to open the vehicle.

Inside door lock(4 door 2002 Ford f250 pickup) control button(drivers side) does not open locks. Only the remote keyless entry will open them from the inside.

About 1700 hrs on 21 Nov 05, my 2005 f250 super duty was broken into and I had over $2500 dollars worth of things stolen in 3 items. I had a cell phone, over 226 cd's, and my kids portable dvd player with 2 7" screens stolen. All they did was popped the driver's side door key cylinder, cracked my handle, and dented my door and walked away with the stuff. The insurance is going to replace my key cylinder, handle and fix the dent after I pay my deductible. They are going to give me $250 for the loss of the cd's and that is about all I am getting. My renter's insurance is not going to cover the loss of the dvd player, dvd that was inside, or the cell phone.

The consumer stated at 27,000 miles his 2001 Ford f250 developed an engine vibration. The consumer was told there was no fix for the problem. When the consumer applied the brakes, there was a vibration. The dealer machined the front rotors and replaced the pads that were cracked. There was a rattle noise coming from under the vehicle. The exhaust shields were loose, the hose clamp on the radiator was replaced and the power door lock was replaced.

Door handles can be broken into with a screw driver due to the used of plastic. Ord super duty trucks should have metal door latches.

When the vehicle reached approx. 25,000 miles, the drivers side door started to make a knocking sound. The sound travels and may seem to be coming from anywhere in the general area of the door and door frame. I was able to pinpoint the noise to be originating from the nader pin or latching device. A little bit of lithium grease seemed to solve the problem for a while, but now the vehicle has 45,000 miles and the noise is getting worse. After talking with several people that own the same vehicle, I found that they all have the same problem. This may be an alignment problem or a problem with the latching device, in either case I question the integrity of the door to remain latched in the event of a crash.

While driving on a bumpy road passenger's door opened. This has happened twice. Dealer has not been contacted.

This truck has many problems. Strarting with the transmission going out, the front right side of the truck there is a distinctive "clunk" when put into gear; either forward or reverse. Then going interior; the "door ajar" light comes on it thinks that the doors are not shut, but you can slam all 4 doors shut and it still thinks the doors are "ajar" so that will keep the interior light on while driving. The interior light will go out if you get up to about 20 mph, then when you slow down to under 20mph it will come back on. The "warning bell" comes on and stays on even when the truck is shut off. Next the seat belts will some times work and some times not. Either the are hard to pull out or they will not retract. The tailgate cover has warped in not even 1 year after we had it.

This car is only 2 years old and the front driver's side door will not close. I have an estimated 15 friends with the same problem with their Ford trucks. This could cause major problems if not fixed and you would think that a 50 000 dollar vehicle would have propor working doors.
