Wheel Cover/hubcaps problems of the 1999 Ford F-350

Three problems related to wheel cover/hubcaps have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Wheel Cover/hubcaps problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2003

The left rear wheel separated from the vehicle, which caused the vehicle jerk foward. The consumer requested an 03 vehicle or reimbursement for the incidental expenses. After the purchase of the vehicle, the manual, lockable hub(s) began to fail. The dealer convinced the consumer(s) to purchase 8 ply tires, but this didn't reduce the noise or hub problems, the consumer also experienced acceleration problem's. The dealer couldn't find the problem. The engine idled rough and the engine light had come on. A bad cam sensor was found, and a sound had come from the fuel pump. An adapter to the metal plate was built in, extending from the underdash, to the firewall, to provide a better ground system. Scc.

2 Wheel Cover/hubcaps problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2000

While driving both center hub caps came off. Problem was reported to dealership. Dealer could not do anything about the problem. Please provide any further information.

3 Wheel Cover/hubcaps problem

Failure Date: 06/01/1999

Hub caps on all 4 wheels keep coming off. Six have been replaced. Currently, back 2 are missing. Warranty has expired. Dealer has no reason why they keep coming off.
