2 Suspension defect investigations of Ford F-350 vehicles

This investigation was opened on Nov. 15, 2007. It was closed on Mar. 14, 2008. Odi has received 78 consumer complaints of severe suspension and steering wheel shimmy and oscillations commencing after the subject vehicles traveled over an uneven road surface. The majority of these incidents occurred at speeds of 50 mph or greater.

3 Diesel engine defect investigations of Ford F-350 vehicles

This investigation was opened on Jun. 22, 2006. It was closed on Dec. 7, 2007. This investigation resulted in a vehicle safety recall.
In a December 3, 2007 letter, Ford advised NHTSA that it will conduct a safety recall to replace the cam position sensor (cps) in approximately 1. 2 million subject vehicles to address reports of engine stalling. A new design cps with improved performance and durability will be installed as a remedy.

7 Seat belts defect investigations of Ford F-350 vehicles

This investigation was opened on Feb. 17, 2005. It was closed on Jul. 6, 2005. During the initial recall campaign in 2001, the subject vehicles were inspected by Ford dealerships using a test tool that would detect a defective front seat outboard seat belt buckle assembly. Approximately one million vehicles passed the inspection test for one or both front buckles.
