Three problems related to diesel fuel system have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Plastic diesel fuel filter drain valve has deteriorated--dumping diesel fuel onto the engine while running at the rate of 10 to 25 drops per minute--the diesel fuel winds up on the road --- when turned off the entire contents of the diesel fuel filter (a pint or more) runs over the engine & onto the ground---pollution & fire hazard !!!!!!!.
2000 Ford F-350 fuel tank liner failures. Tank liner coming apart causing the fuel tank needing to be relined, and replacing the fuel pump and fuel filter.
I am replacing the fuel tank for the fourth time on my 2000 Ford 350 diesel rackbody dumptruck. I have had this truck leave me stalled dead in fast-moving, heavy traffic numerous times. The interior coating of the steel fuel tank is disintegrating and fouling the whole fuel system.
