Five problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer was involved in a frontal collision with a elevated crane pillar while driving 20-30 mph and neither air bag deployed. The driver and the passenger were both restrained in their seat belt. The driver received minor injuries, but the passenger was transported to the local hospital by ambulance due to head injuries. The dealer was not notified.
Air bag(s) failed to deploy. Driver sustained face,head, chest and neck injuries.
Vehicle hit a guardrail at 35-40 mph, and neither airbag deployed. Damage $ 7000.
While traveling at 55 mph vehicle was completely totalled, and no airbags went off. Front of the truck was pushed in 18 inches.
Driver going 55 mph and lost control of vehicle. Tried to over correct it & went off the road & hit a tree head-on. Vehicle end overended before rolling 3 times. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Vehcle was totaled. Passenger in hospital with leg injuries/ broken collar bone & bruises over body. Driver had bruises & emergency room treatment.
