One problem related to latches/locks/linkage has been reported for the 2001 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2001 Ford F-350 super duty crew cab, diesel engine. The power door lock actuators don't work. Took to Ford dealership and they stated that all 4 actuators need to be replaced. My vehicle only has 49, 971 miles, and this is very unsafe since if the door locks are locked and you hit the unlock button the doors won't open, then you have to reach for the manual lock button on each door to pull them up to get out of the vehicle. I was told that the super duty trucks are prone with this problem with electric door locks.
