Eight problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front seat belt unbuckles itself. Happens mostly in motion. Truck does not show recalls open.
Seat belt does not retract and is faulty set feels loose from cab.
Driver seat belt will not stay buckled. While driving, I notice that this belt spontaneously unlatches leaving me unprotected. This happens quite frequently and it doesn't seem to matter how I operate the buckle. This happens while the vehicle is in motion during any kind of driving. .
The driver's seat belt will randomly come unbuckled while driving the vehicle.
Driver seat belt. Seat belt inadvertently comes loose. May stay fasten for five minutes or sometimes and hour then with no pressure applied to belt it just snaps loose. Ford had a recall but they claim my date of manufacture is not covered. I have filed a complaint with Ford and carried my vehicle to the dealer but they offered no resolution except seat belts wear out. I don't think they should wear out after 38,000 miles.
Drivers side seat belt does not always latch properly. It will come unlatched while driving without warning.
I was driving and driver side seat belt ,unlatched. This problem continues to date.
