1 Tire problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2014

Driving my 2001 f 350 at 45 mph the left front tire exploded loud enough for a neighbor to come out thinking a shot had been fired! the tire's side wall was shredded. This was my second experience recently with a blow-out of my bf goodrich rugged terrain t/a lt275/65r18 tires. In may the left rear blew out at highway speed with the side wall shredded similar to the recent blow out. I was pro-rated for that tire but after this recent event I am changing out all the tires and going back to cooper, I wouldn't chance having a more serious lost-of-control event! I bought my tires 3 years ago (2011) and use this truck on the ranch--there are less than 4,000 miles on these tires. From the outside the tires appear alright, but the handling started to feel rocky prior to the blow out although nothing was visibly showing on the exterior.

Traveling from mass. To maine with my Ford F-350 with "cooper" mastercraft courser a/t tires. My rear drivers side tire separated sending the tread into wheel well. . I was traveling at 65mph. . . It shook the truck very hard causing loss control. . . Thankfully no one was around. . . Slowed the truck to stop. . . Major damage to the rear of truck. . . Looking at tire the metal wire is rusted. . . Note found there was a re-call on these tires. . . (never got mine) called the cooper hot-line. They instructed me they will send package in mail and for me to send the tire to them checked on line and found other people have done the same with no results blaming the drivers for hitting something. . . . No injury or death. . . Not out for the money.

10 Tire problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2006

I had been driving on the high way for about 20 miles at 65 mph (the speed limit was 70 mph) when the left rear tire (goodyear wrangler at/s lt285/75r16) exploded. It ripped the fuel filler neck off of the truck bent the rear bumper and bent the side of my truck in many places. These tires had more then half tread left on them and there is no reason this should have happened. I wasn't pulling a load or driving too fast. Fuel spilled out of the gas tank and could have caused a fire. These tires are unsafe to drive on if this type of think happens.

11 Tire problem

Failure Date: 02/17/2004

There is a safety campaign for the same type of tires but with a different load range. The tires on this vehicle lost air over several days. This problem has happened several times with these tires. Dealers will not replace the tires. The tire lost air pressure for no apparent reason. When the tire failed, there was a lot of tread.

Failure Date: 02/15/2003

All 4 tires failed on our new 2001 F-350 and had to be replaced by 02/2003 at 62000. Cost was $1100.

13 Tire problem

Failure Date: 08/31/2002

This super swamper tire is the second one that has exploded while driving on the highway, both were front mounted tires. I am getting the tire replaced with another manufacturer's tires, but I felt that these tires and their manufacturer should be checked for problems. My f350 is a fairly heavy vehicle and I was pulling a trailer when this tire explosion occured. At the very least these tires should have a warning that they do not dissipate heat sufficiently at highway speeds.

14 Tire problem

The consumer was driving, and at about 3/4 way up the hill going at 52-56 mph, for about 4-5 seconds, there was a wash board effect, where the road was grooved sidways for another 4-5 seconds. The vehicle headed for the side of the road, then the vehicle dropped to the right rear to the rim. The tire had come completely apart. Consumer would like replacement for the tire bought for the spare-($123).
