Three problems related to wheel rim have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2001 Ford f350. While driving 65 mph, the contact felt a vibration coming from the front end of the vehicle. He inspected the vehicle and noticed a crack on the rim. The dealer was not notified and no repairs were made. The current and failure mileages were 143,505. *updated 12/12/07 . Updated 12/12/07.
: the contact stated while driving 40 mph, the after market rim on the front passenger tire split in half. The split occurred leaving two crescent pieces of the rim. The rear driver side rim had also split two years prior to this failure. The first rim was replaced with a new rim, but the manufacturer determined the second rim should be welded back together. The weld racing inc. , scorpio rims were on a 2001 Ford f350. Updated 6/19/2006 - the consumer has replaced all four rims. The new rims are by another manufacturer.
Consumer notice there were beads on tires, the rim wearing through the heads causing tires to come apart. Please provide further information.
