Two problems related to front suspension hub have been reported for the 2002 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated while driving 65 mph, the abs light illuminated. A private repair shop was consulted, and informed the contact that the abs system was not working properly. The abs light continued to illuminate constantly for the next 4 days. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, who determined that the right front wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The hub was replaced, which corrected the problem.
I noticed a slight rubbing sound coming from the front end of my f350 4x4 dually truck. I was pulling a 36 bumper pull camper at the time. The noise increased, and a squealing noise started. I pulled to the side of the road to prevent further damage. The drivers side front hub and fallen apart, and the wheel was about to come off the truck. The right side hub was worn out and could be moved two to three inches and required replacement. The truck has less than 55 thousand miles, and had only been serviced by a Ford motor company dealer. The truck was towed and both front hubs were replaced. The truck had been taken to the dealership in February of 2003 and again in December 2004 with problems with the front end. The Ford dealer said they could not find a problem.
