Emission Control problems of the 2003 Ford F-350

Two problems related to emission control have been reported for the 2003 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2007

The contact owns a 2003 Ford f350 super duty. The contact received a recall notice from Ford in March of 2006 regarding emission. The recall repair was performed on the vehicle, but the failure still occurs. The dealer and manufacturer stated that nothing could be done because the defect is computer related. They stated that they were waiting for a new re- flash to be developed for the defect. The recall number was unknown. The current mileage was 30,000 and failure mileage was 10,000.

2 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 09/30/2003

While warming up the vehicle for more than fifteen minutes an exhaust smell came inside of vehicle, causing consumer to become ill. Driver was concerned that carbon dioxide poison gas was escaping inside of vehicle as well. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for analysis. Dealership mechanic could not duplicate the problem.
