Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds the vehicle would sudden shut off. The contact also indicated that on several occasions the vehicle would not start after suddenly shutting off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the defect. The contact was informed that the vehicle had experienced the same defect listed in NHTSA campaign 05v270000. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The failure mileage was 137,000. Jft.

2 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 09/24/2013

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start. After several attempts the contact was able to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated the fuel injection control module would have to be replaced. There was a recall under NHTSA campaign number: 05v270000 (electrical system) however, the manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 97,300.

3 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 04/22/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated that the vehicle lunged forward and stalled. This failure occurred on more than one occasion. The contact stated that the vehicle would not always restart. The contact found NHTSA recall campaign id number: 05v270000 (electrical system) but the manufacturer stated the vehicle was not included. The dealer told the contact they were not sure of what caused the failure. The failure mileage and current mileages was 70,000. Mah.
