3 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2010

On 2006 Ford f350 vehicle with 6. 0 diesel , the egr coolers have defect that cause them to leak. After reading into this it is a common issue. I took the truck to Ford and they stated it is a very common problem and that I should look into an aftermarket cooler since the oem unit fails quite often to the frequency of 2 to 3 within 100,000 miles. This repair is approx. 1000 to 2000 depending on if the head gaskets have been subsequently damaged as well. In my case I had to replace the oil cooler along with egr cooler an egr valve and head gasket. My total bill was $2095. 63 Ford stated it is a very common problem and has TSB,s on this but has no plans for a voluntary recall. They did state that they will only compensate if instructed to due to a recall. These issues if researched online are more common then people needing any other parts on this vehicle. When these coolers fail the egr get wet and does not function. This can happen at highway speeds with can make you loose power thus loosing hydroboost for braking and steering.

4 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2009

The Ford F-350 truck I bought is defective, as evidenced by the 7 power steering and brake repairs required in the past 3 years, along with the electrical system and ring and pinion repair. I have contacted Ford 24 times, I have filed a complaint with the mn better business bureau and the mn attorney general's office. I believe the truck was manufactured in a faulty manner, and I am afraid the truck may be dangerous to drive. I need your help in obtaining credit towards a new truck or a new truck due to the unacceptable number and type of repairs required.

5 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2008

I have a Ford F-350 that has had a violent front end shake at freeway speeds. The "shake" has been so violent I thought I was going to crash. I have taken it to Ford and they change out a couple parts and then it happens again within 20,000 miles. This has happened 4 times since owning the truck (purchased new in Nov. 2006). I have also had problems repeatedly with the high pressure oil pump and or electrical that Ford cant resolve. The truck is now in the shop again. It cranks but will not start the truck was going down the freeway at 70mph and it just dies and wont restart. They say it is high pressure oil pump and have replaced it 3 times within 50,000 miles.
